I am used to keeping humidity temps when drying herbs, this does no work, it ranges so fastly and quickly, compared to the other models it appears to be way off. not impressed with the wait time and quality of the product.

These things are amazing. Not only do they maintain the flavor of your herbs but you also eliminate all the shake that accumulates due to the outsides becoming dry and crispy. It does seem too wet at first if you are not familiar with what 62% actually feels like, and you will no longer be able to break up your herbs with your fingers because it will be too sticky. But when using a grinder it breaks up fantastically, rolls up like a dream and burns absolutely beautifully. The taste and smell are definitely reinvigorated if you have over dried your herbs. The length of time they last depends on too many variables to accurately state as leaving it open for even a single night could ruin the pack and require opening a new one. I will say average 60 days, but could go 3 months to potentially 2 years if you do not crack the vault open at all. The packs stay fresh for 2 years before you open them, so theoretically if your product is already balanced at 62% the packet should not have to work at all and will keep the product at the perfect state for the duration of it's lifetime . . . potentially 2 years. One single 67g packet is good for a 1/2 lb. and three packets are good for 2 lbs. Less than a 2 Oz. requires the little tiny boveda's. It is also known that the curing "sweet" spot is right around 62% humidex which results is dynamic changing flavor profiles. Terpenes (the particles that give off smell and taste) go through a process known as isomerization as the herbs age which causes the terpenes to link up forming polyterpenes. This can absolutely transform the taste and smell of your herbs MONTHS down the road, it's like a new product it is so dramatic sometimes. BUT if you manage to let your herbs get too dry then the curing process is permanently halted and no more isomerization can occur. You can reinvigorate what was lost but it will never transform like it would have as there is Anaerobic bacteria that needs to stay alive and the moisture keeps them alive. Once they die, game over and your product will forever be "locked" in the current state of smell and flavor. I have been keen on mason jars up until this point because they can maintain 62%. Problem is that you can not open the mason jar for every time you do it dries out just a little. If the jars remain sealed the moisture stays but you could be opening it multiple times in a day so it is not much better than a bag after a couple of weeks. Also in a jar if your herbs settle at 68% or even maybe 65% you will get MOLD. Boveda will both moisten and dry the herbs to maintian 62%, unless of course you throw them in there soaking wet then you will get mold. These Boveda's are made with RO water so you can technically just chuck a slab into a large jar, but I would really recommend getting the C-Vaults that were designed to hold the 62% Boveda packs. They are crazy expensive for what they are but are incredibly handy for storing any quantity. Mason jars are limited to 500ml/1L whereas the C-vaults go up to 17L and are light proof. I would buy the C-Vault Connoisseur packs as you will save quite a bit of money over buying each vault individually. Planet Vape is the best place I found for the C-Vaults although this was in April 2015. I have spent so much time (and money) trying to figure out the best way to get (and maintain) top shelf product, I mean literally a decade now. Now that these packs are out no more "burping" jars or using hygrometers to check status. No more guessing if there is mold or worrying if I dried it 2 hours too long, It is so flippin' finicky without these packets makes you want to rip your hair out. One or two or even ten jars Ok, but once you get up to 50+ jars it is just too much man . . . and then you can't OPEN them!!!
