OXO Good Grips Vegetable and Onion Chopper with Easy Pour Opening White

This makes chopping vegetables so easy and fast. I wish I bought this a long time ago!

Saved me a ton of extra cutting..probably saved a finger. Should have bought it sooner. Just load and hit it. Don't press. Smack it and easy to pour contents into pan. Easy to clean.

I think this item is well-designed and functional. I use it principally to chop apples to add to my cereal or oatmeal at breakfast and for that it's perfect. It's quick to use and easy to clean. Onions was a bit more problematic as some sections failed to chop and gummed up the blades. The biggest challenge was sweet potatoes. That was a fail. I tried too hard and bent some blades but was able to bend them back with pliers. I was also initially puzzled by the red removable grid as it would easily fall off. If you aren't careful, you'll chop it up. Then I saw that there is a small lip at the top of the base where the removable piece attaches. You need to press down on the top of the red piece to position it behind the lip so it will stay in place.

Works Well! VERY SHARP!! For me the onion cubes were a bit large but NOT a disqualifier. I found the perfect use is for diced potatoes!! Slice your potato as thick as the squares of the cutter and they some out perfect!! Works well with apple slices too!! Pro-Tip: Slice an onion/potato/green pepper as thick as the squares place your hand over the open end when done chopping and shake vigorously! Then dump into skillet to fry! I have to look and see if OXO has different size cutters so I don't need to buy a whole new setup... My only issue w/ this chopper is a bit of difficulty separating the parts for cleaning. Especially with wet hands. It's hard to pull them apart. Pressing that little tab ain't so easy. The grid cleaner insert is a nice touch though. This is a real value for the money Hands Down. -- EDIT: Mine broke. A blade separated. Put in for a return and had another one literally the next day. I think I just had a tough onion. Poop happens. One last issue. The cover won't stay upright/open in use. No big issue... Just wanted to mention it. I still give it 5 *'s...

Very pleased with the brand, the look and operation of the product, however, chopper only cuts onions and other veggies at a certain size which is a larger size especially on onions than I want. Seems to be a good quality, easy to use and has a sharp blade.

This is the first OXO purchase that has completely failed. Does not cut evenly. Hard to use. The clear plastic collection container does not detach which makes it very hard to clean. Didn’t even clean well in the dishwasher. Bits of onion remained on the cutting blades. And when I tried to,detach the silicone grid cover to wash, my large arthritic knuckle hit the cutting surface resulting in a deep cut. Don’t waste your money.

I am so happy with this product! I have always been an OXO fan, and this does not disappoint! I specifically wanted one that only diced, and this fit the bill perfectly. I like the "dump" feature in the back of the chopper, when I am chopping a lot of veggies, I don't have to fiddle with it, pull it apart and put it back together again. One piece of advice if you purchase this. I use a toothbrush to clean the blades if I'm not putting it in the dishwasher. I find it safer. But... very dishwasher friendly!!!

I decided to purchase this vegetable chopper after growing tired of taking a century chopping my veggies for lunch/dinner. Okay, I didn't actually take a century but it took far too much time than I was willing to lose out of my day. There were a bunch of options when searching for a chopper online, I decided on the OXO chopper because it was a brand I recognized, and that was enough for me! No, it doesn't have a variety of different interchangeable blades, but that's fine by me! It's great if, like me, you don't have the space to keep those dozen or so interchangeable blades that the other brands come with. I wanted something simple and this was it. It works great and has not struggled even with the hardest of fruits or veggies. All the uniform little food cubes fall right in the attached container, and then you can just pour the goodies out the back opening right into the pot/pan/tray/your mouth/trash wherever. Cleanup is a bit of a mission, but that is the case with every one of these food choppers. Overall I recommend this is you just want a simple, easy, sturdy food chopper.

Der Gemüseschneider ist super. Er spart mir unglaublich viel Zeit beim zubereiten von Salten. Bisher habe ich damit Gurken, Paprika, Kohlrabi und Möhren geschnitten. Das hat alles problemlos funktioniert. Einfach schnell Scheiben mit dem Messer schneiden und dann in den Schneider legen und zudrücken. Ruckzuck hat man dann gleichmäßig geschnittene Würfel für den Salat. Gurken kann man 2 Scheiben auf einmal reinlegen. Paprika und Kohlrabi nur eine Scheibe. Die Möhre habe ich in der Mitte geteilt und in der Länge halbiert. Klappte bei mir so alles gut. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Ausleeröffnung. Da kann man einfach die gewürfelten Stücke in die Salatschüssel schütten, ohne erst alles auseinander zu bauen und kann sofort weiter würfeln. Die Reinigung gelingt problemlos und schnell. Vorsicht nur beim reinigen des Schneidegitters, dass ist natürlich scharf.

It is very well made but it cuts pieces into rather large chunks. I thought it would be much finer...

Excellent chopper with features you didn't know you needed. We use the chopper for preparing dog training treats out of Prime 100 rolls. We've tried a few choppers, before finally finding the perfect one. The opening for easy pouring is convenient, especially if chopping in bulk. The included pull-out plastic grid makes it unbelievably easy to clean. I highly recommend this product.
