better than expected! thick plastic, has spikes on the bottom so it doesnt tip over and the top lid locks pretty tight. it has 4 slider doors to extract the compost and they are easy to lift and slide back down. assembly was about 5 minutes. the video reviews are from people that have had this for years, and are mostly from people who bought a second one. it also arrived a week earlier than expected. Im happy with it
