I am not kidding, this is the highest quality tea I have ever found. It is priced so well, too! I bought the English Breakfast Black tea and it arrived yesterday. I opened up the elegantly packaged vacuum seal bag and could see the tea leaves are fresh, uniform in appearance, and of a very high quality. Nice fresh aroma, too. I made a pot and did not have time to drink it because I was heading out to dinner. The tea was left it sitting out on the counter steeping for 5 hours. When I got home, I put the tea in the refrigerator. This morning, I went to drink it cold and was concerned that because I did not follow the proper directions for steeping the tea, it might taste bitter. Not the case at all... I could not believe how smooth the taste was! Even with me not following proper steeping technique, the tea tasted so smooth and delicious! I made a cup of it hot, using the tea leaves I had previously used ( out of curiosity to see how it would turn out) and it was delicious as well! Believe the reviews! This tea is of superior quality and taste and there is no bitterness whatsoever! I have paid a lot more for teas that aren't even in the same league as this tea. This is an exceptional value! I was so thrilled with this tea, that I just purchased the Vahdam green tea, and am excited to try that.

We received today and WOW is it ever good. My husband is U.K./Australian so he drinks a lot of tea. He balked at tasting it when it arrived but after sitting and having a cup with some biscuits he said he was ready for a second cup. Met his approval!!! If you are undecided trust me, you will love it! Thanks Vahdam for a wonderful product and we will be ordering more.

I've been drinking Twinning's English Breakfast for years, but I wanted to take my tea game to the next level. After researching the various offerings, I decided to splurge on a 12oz brick of English Breakfast tea from Vahdam. The package arrived less than 24 hours after ordering, and based on the packing date printed on the tea box, the tea I received was fresh (best by date is several years down the road). The tea comes in a vacuum-sealed pouch which is packed in a nice Vahdam box. They include a separate heavy-duty zip-lock bag to store the tea in after opening the vacuum pack, so your tea will stay fresh! I put a heaping teaspoon of tea into my little filter basket, and poured about 6.5oz of boiling water over the tea, into my cup. After 4.5min of steeping, my tea was ready! The first thing I noticed was the rich, red color. It had a delicate, almost sweet aroma. I added 2tsp of sugar, and a splash of cream, and it was ready to drink. This tea has a rich, but not overpowering flavor, that is as smooth as anyone has a right to expect. There's no bitterness, no aftertaste. Shortly after I finished, I started dreaming of another cup! All in all, this was a great purchase. The tea is thoughtfully packaged, and fresh, and it brews a wonderful cup. This is going to be my go-to tea for the foreseeable future.

We loved this tea. We’ve bought several bags, and found it deep and fresh, capable of making a strong but not too bitter cup of black tea. But his review is to be focused on two side issues: 1). Because the leaves are whole, you must have a proper teapot with a ‘filter’ - the little holes built into the bottom of the spout. Otherwise the tea will quickly clog up the spout when you pour, and you will lose much of the delightful tea. This was no issue in our regular teapot. But we recently bought a pretty porcelain pot from MOMA, and it turns out it has no little holes to strain the tea in the pot. I suppose MOMA tea drinkers are either brewing with bags, or using crumbled tea. 2). The closing/sealing devise on the bag easily pulls away from the side. This means — after all the effort to bring you great tea, this merchant fails to keep his tea sealed. This is fundamental quality control incompetence. If you are VERY careful you can slide a fingernail along the seam and open the seal without pulling it away from the side. But that only works a few times, and the ziplock pulls away. You then must find a proper storage can. Or, lose your tea quality. We are giving this 5 Stars for the tea quality, and the fact that you can deal with both issues if you are prepared.

I would like to update my review on this product. First of all, I would like to give five stars to the customer service department for their quick response to my disappointment in their product. I received correspondence immediately and a replacement of the product and some additional samples of other teas. The replacement teas were much better; I especially like the flavored tea, "Chai" being my favorite. I give the English tea only 4 stars because I found I have to use more tea than the directions call for and steep it longer. This may be a matter of taste since my husband and I do like our English tea strong and robust. I would recommend this company; they are very customer-service oriented which is a breath of fresh air this day and age.

The tea just arrived and I’m having a 2nd cuppa’! It’s absolutely delicious. I’ve been drinking sub-par tea for too long. So glad rot find Vahdam Teas.

I am new to loose leaf tea and I used to use Red Rose tea bags for my black tea. My wife started to like Green Tea so I recently purchased an Organic Green Tea bag box. Fast forward a couple of months, we were hosting Thanksgiving and I wanted to surprise my wife and mother-in-law with some fresh tea. I purchased the Original English Breakfast Tea Leaves from Vahdam Teas. Upon steeping our first cup, My mother-in-law and I were amazed and how smooth the tea was. It was absolutely delicious and so smooth without a single bit of bitterness. I am totally impressed with the freshness and it smells amazing coming out of the bag. As i venture into more tea types, I will come back and revise my review, but for now this is the best black tea that I have ever tasted. I drink my tea straight with no sugar and no milk - and I thoroughly enjoy the natural flavors that come through. This is a fantastic daily tea. One final note, I got a personal email from the business owner and I am happy to know that I am supporting the Vahdam Tea family directly by eliminating the middleman and buying directly from them! I hope they get certified organic (as it says they are in the process) because this company needs more publicity! Thanks for my best cup of tea yet!

Although not indicated in the description, this tea is FTGFOP1 grade. If you search wikepedia you can look up "tea leaf grading" and see that this grade is "limited to only the highest quality leaves in the FTGFOP classification" The tea is fresh and when you open the bag you can see an abundance of golden tips which impart more flavor to the tea. I drink tea black and have been partial to similar grades from Ceylon such as Basilur Pure Ceylon Black Leaf Tea "ORIENTAL DELIGHT" Oriental Collection with tips on Amazon. The Vahdam tea is an Assam tea but is a wonderful tea brewed black for 3 minutes or a bit longer to make it darker for adding milk. To enjoy the tea, I recommend starting with cold filtered water bringing it to a boil and pouring it over the tea which I brew in Finum unbleached tea bags available on Amazon. After it brews for 3-5 minutes (I have only tried brewing it for 3 minutes), wait until it cools down a bit. The taste can best be appreciated when the tea is not too hot. The best part of all is the price of the tea which I got on a daily deal-even at full price- is excellent compared with any other teas of comparable quality and for me is about the best value available for a tea in this quality category. 少し前から気になっていたVahdam Teas。 不要な中間業者を排除し、インドの有名な茶園からプレミアムティーやスーパーフードを調達し、インドの最先端の茶園施設で新鮮な状態で包装して消費者に届けることをモットーとしている企業のようです。 ブランド名で売っている世界的メーカーとは違い、中間業者を入れないことで農家が適正価格で取引でき、私達にもお手頃価格で届くという仕組み。好感が持てます。 今回初めて手に取ってみたのは、こちらの看板商品でもあろう、イングリッシュブレックファーストですが、一般的なアッサム、セイロン、ケニア辺りのブレンドではなく、アッサムのみでブレンドではない恐らく単一農園もののようです。 茶葉は大きいフルリーフ。FTGFOP1の等級は間違いないと思います。 一般的なイングリッシュブレックファーストはメーカー独自のブレンドで茶葉もBOPかそれより細かいものが多いので短時間でかなり濃く出ます。 こちらはフルリーフなので3分ほど滲出してもストレートでも美味しく飲める味。もちろんミルクティーにも良いですが、ドバドバっと入れてしまうとミルクに負けるかも。 ミルクティーはかなり濃い目が好きな私としてはこの点は物足りないのですが、そこはアッサムのCTC茶葉とブレンドしたり、濃いめを飲みたい時用にアレンジできる良さもあると思っておきます。 茶葉の品質は良いと思いました。コクもありモルティな香りも豊かです。 3分でストレート向き、4～5分でミルクティーに良いですが、5分滲出すると冷めたときに渋みや雑味が前に出てくるので、4分くらいにとどめるのが飲みやすいと思います。 それにしても340gで999円は激安ですね。おまけに定期おトク便の対象になっているので申し込めば更に安くなります。 茶葉は真空パックされていますが、最初に入っている袋はジッパーつきではないので、なんと詰替え用のジッパーバッグまで入ってます。自分で封をハサミで切ってから使う未開封状態のジッパーバッグでした。茶葉の種類がわかるよう大きなステッカーまでついています。 詰替え用のジッパーバッグは200g弱でパンパンになるので150g程度をまず茶缶などに移してから、詰めたほうがいいですね、詰めるのが200より多いとこぼす羽目になると思います。 最初に入ってる袋も内側がアルミで保存性は良いので、大きい茶缶なんてないわという方は、袋に入れたまま輪ゴムなどできっちりとめてジッパーバッグ（透明可）に入れたり、おせんべいの缶など空いてればそういうのに入れてもいいです。二重にするだけで長期間保存できます。 アッサムメインのボディの強いミルクティ向け紅茶→イングリッシュブレックファーストというイメージからこの名前になっているのかもしれませんが、中身はブレンドではなくアッサムFTGFOP1のシングルエステートなので、そういう表記にした方がいいのに勿体ない、と思う以外は、品質も良し価格もお手頃で飲み続けたい紅茶です。
