Did anyone notice that the two pack is more money than buying 2 single packs?

Idk what yall looking at but 4 pack is $15.92 and 8 pack is $22.84 and that is the only packs so make sure yall clicking the right thing and these have a 5 star when they don't keep your stuff cold all day so it should be a 2 or 3 star

how long will this keep the food cold?

I think the type of lunch bag you keep it in plays a big roll in how long it stays cold. My daughter has a thermal insulated lunch bag and there have been days where the ice packs are still cold (not frozen, just cold) when she gets home 10 hours after I pack her lunch. I've used them in non insulated bags and it's only kept cool for 4 hours. I use two per bag and put them on top of each other so they keep themselves colder longer than layers singly

Why is there a hole in the middle? Does it serve a purpose?

I'd guess with more surface area the hole would help it freeze faster.
