Interesting product. Works, but not real gentle depending on the incoming speed.
It works well, but it does provide a sudden stop and a lot of back force. Our stopping area was higher off the ground to control the line drop and I had to build a platform so the kids could safely let go of the trolley. With this spring the kids bounce further back than the platform extends, so I had to build an extension. Definitely keeps them from hitting the tree, but it works better as an emergency last resort than as a gentle braking mechanism so we also added a block stop on a bungee to slow them down first.

Need more length options.
it is a great product but the picture is a bit misleading. The unit is much shorter than I anticipated and needs a stop block added to prevent hitting the tree still. It does a fine job of slowing pulley and I like how it is constructed with the thick rubber/plastic bushings at the ends, but it would be nicer if it were a bit longer to ease the stop and prevent hitting the anchorage point without having to add additional hardware. Another option, it to buy two and put them in series... but that also doubles the prices... Different length options for different applications would be nice.

Zip line Spring Stop
The spring stop arrived faster than expected from the seller. While the Spring Stop does stop the the kids at the end of the zipline. It does not slow them down gently. It's an abrupt stop. While my kids love the abrupt stop that flings their body forward some other children may not. It requires some grip strength to hang on at the end.The spring itself seems to be of good quality but the green paint flakes off pretty quickly. After about a week of use 80% of the paint is gone which is not a big deal to me.

Works great with my zip line but the price stinks
Works great with my zip line but the price stinks! Way too much money for a painted spring. Shame on you...but I bought it anyway. Kids don't go flying off or get whiplash and, folks it's for a zipline, not a video game or deck of cards. There's a little inherent risk. Get the proper safety devices and let the little buggers get dirty! And knock about 30 bucks off for the love of God!

Scary, but fun!
Works like a charm! They do need to hang on tightly at the end, because it "whips" them at the stop. It made me nervous at first, but it's the icing on the cake for the kids…. a fun way to end the ride. :) And of course, they don't hit the tree…..

Good option.
As others said. The stop is very abrupt. Sort of hang on tight or you're going to fly off abrupt! For the older kids that's fun. But other than that I think it's the best available option.

Just what we needed!
This spring stopper works perfectly! It has made our zipline much safer and put my mind at ease. We planned on also connecting to block stopper but it was not necessary.

Kids bounce pretty hard with this stopper
Lifesaver. Kids bounce pretty hard with this stopper, but at least they don't smash into the tree. I've heard that bungee stoppers may be better? Less bounce?
