XRT136 Watchfree Remote Control Replacement for All VIZIO LED LCD HD 4K UHD HDR Smart TV

I ordered this as a replacement for our vizio tv. Based on the reviews no programing was necessary but the one we recieved did not work and manual is not included. So after doing alot of research, YouTube and customer support there isn't much you can do to get it to work if it doesnt work straight out of the package. Very disappointed since our tv was listed as one of the models it's for.

I like that it has a dedicated button to the apps I use most frequently and this would be perfect if it wasn't for one thing. It takes so long for the remote to respond to the buttons being pressed so that leads to pushing harder and harder. You also end up having to move around the room to try to get a better angle but I don't think there is one. I think that this remote just has a very poor IR signal because it was the same problem I had with the stock remote. Too bad it wasn't just a small problem because this remote is otherwise perfect.

Lost my remote somewhere. I was using a smartphone app to control the television which worked ok but not the most convenient way. Then, without thinking, I reset my television because of a problem with an update. With no remote and no way to connect the app because you need a remote to set up the wifi my television was completely useless! This remote came within 2 days of order and was a perfect replacement! put the batteries in and it was controlling my television with no pairing, programming or setup required. Less expensive than the vizio brand replacement and pretty much identical in build and format.

This remote is perfect and a great value. I lost mine and finally gave into buying another. Fast delivery. It’s a genuine Vizio remote. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was because there is a really stupid sticker on the bottom of the remote that doesn’t come off cleanly and leaves the sticky papery residue. A minor annoyance but enough to remove one star. Still very much worth the buy.

Received very quickly. I lost my remote somehow and absolutely could not find it so trusty amazon came through and i now have my new remote days later. No batteries included but as long as this is the compatible remote you literally just put batteries in and it’s paired!!! No instructions or setup.

Works like a charm. Just add batteries (not supplied) and point and shoot. No programming, no nothing, and it works just like the original. As an added bonus, I got my TV working with the WiFi again, after over a year of having to connect a Chromecast dongle. Not due to the replacement remote directly, but it helped! Would definitely buy again.

*****Update******Changing this to a 1 star. This remote died after about 5 months of use. Thought it was just the batteries, but it just won't work. frustratingOverall, the remote seems great. One distinction though is that the original remote came with colored buttons, the replacement came with black buttons that are painted over. Worry about the longevity of the paint vs colored buttons. Also, the "3" on my replacement remote was messed up.

I like the TV; however, the remote is not responsive, so it is really frustrating to put in passcodes and search for movies. I bought this as a replacement for the one that came with the TV as I was having the same issues with it, but I think it is just a cheesy remote. The television it comes with is a streaming TV with apps on it. I ended up purchasing a ROKU Ultra. Not only is the picture better on my TV, I am no longer ready to throw the remote at it. If you are having trouble with your remote, I would go through fire or ROKU rather than replacing the remote.
