One of my favorite LEDs for projects.
(Scroll through my photos) almost 5 years ago, I purchased these style LEDS to complete a Power Wheels project for my daughter. Came out pretty amazing. So I decided to grab some again for a project in my Lexus. These are definitely bigger and brighter. Work great for adding extra interior lighting for custom work, and looks classy tucked away, or extra trunk lighting. and if you’re good at this type of stuff like myself, under hood lighting as well. The only issue I have is the wiring just being way to thin. If you’re good with a soldering iron, these pop out of the threaded shaft very easy. Solder on some 18-20 awg instead of the 26-30 that’s on there. Then put some silicone in the shaft to re waterproof them.

Nice lights, great price
I installed these in the footwell of my 2006 Jeep Wrangler. The factory lights ("courtesy lights") in that spot hang down an inch or so, and on three separate occasions I accidentally kicked the plastic domed light and broke it. The Jeep replacements cost about $10 each, so I installed these as a cost-effective alternative. I simply cut off the back of the Jeep bracket (it's plastic), inserted these, and hooked up to existing wiring. Easy-peasy, and the new lights are a bit brighter (and whiter) than the old. The only negative: The wire on these LEDs is very, very fine gauge, so it's kinda hard to work with when you're hanging upside-down under the dash of a Jeep -- but that pain was over pretty quickly. :-)

Great lights
They are fairly nice for the price nice and bright out of the 6 I received 1 was a whier light then the others but didnt bother me. As for those that are saying they suck and did not work I can see why that is but its an easy fix. The wires going into the stud has a very small amount of glue or cocking but it is not enought and is not fully sealed. So when you go to install them and you slightly move the wire or if you spin the light causeing the wire to twist the solder inside comes off and thus making the light not work. So with that said an easy fix I found was when you get them before messing around or testing them take some gel type super clue and put a little into the stud and then around the wire to help hold it. Let it sit over night to harden and that will fix it. My lights work great one that little issue is fixed. When stripping the wires as they are small its easy to cut the wire when stripping it, what I did instead is determine the legtht of wire I need to make the connection then I took a lighter and held it to the insulation burning it to the lentgh that I needed and blow the flame out leaving a crunchy burn rubber section then with my fingers I just flaked it off, stinks like butt but is far easier then trying to strip such a small wire. Hope this helps Ill be buying more

Thumbs up compared to similar items
I prefer the color temp of these over two other brands I tried. I bought 12 of these, 1 stopped working as if it had a loose connection where it was potted in the rear. Besides that I am very pleased. They cast a nice little flood beam about a 45 degree angle. Very bright but will not throw a beam a long distance as most LEDs do not. If you use these in a group of 3 or more for a fog light it would get the job done to illuminate the area right in front of the vehicle for the first 20 ft ish. They would be great for ATV or riding mowers. I put a group of three in a plastic hitch cover on the back of my pickup truck and tied them to my backup lights. What a major improvement to see behind me in the dark backing up. Before and after photo coming soon. I think I will put 6 in the plastic on the lower grille of my pickup truck to supplement my fog lights.

Good brightness for price.
Installed these as headlights on Power Wheels style toy. Did not fit under factory lenses, but that is fine. Has a wide beam and surprisingly bright for this package. Only complaints would be no grommet for installation and the wires are probably 20 or 22 ga.. pretty small. The lights could be installed with silicone for serious installations, I assume. Does have some color artifacts around edges which is to be expected for cheaper lights. See photos. For the price they are perfect for my little project. Tree in photo is 10 yards away.
