received the vacuum today opened and set up. the Vacuum turned it on; the vacuum just spread the dirt and hairs around after a few minutes there was a strong smell of burning and the vacuum became very ho turned and unplugged immediately as I thought it would set on fire. I had very good reviews of the shark vacuum prior to buying so was very disappointed. maybe just a bad vacuum? See video

I’ve had the Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe for a few years now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best investments I’ve made. Even with three cats constantly contributing to the floor "decor," this vacuum hasn't missed a beat. Why it’s a Must-Have for Pet Owners: Incredible Longevity: This machine is built like a tank. Despite being used heavily for years, the suction is just as powerful as the day I took it out of the box. It handles cat hair, litter tracks, and dust without any loss of performance. The Lift-Away Feature is Key: Being able to detach the canister makes cleaning hard-to-reach spots—like under the sofa or the tops of cat trees—so much easier. It’s lightweight enough to carry around while you’re getting into the corners. Anti-Allergen Complete Seal: With three cats in a confined space, air quality matters. The HEPA filter does a great job of trapping dander and dust. I notice a significant difference in how "clean" the apartment feels after a quick pass. Large Dust Cup: Even though it’s a relatively compact upright, the dust cup holds a surprising amount. It’s easy to pop off and empty without making a mess, which is a huge plus when you're dealing with a lot of fur. Swivel Steering: It’s very maneuverable. It weaves around furniture and cat toys with ease, making the chore of vacuuming feel much less like a workout.

My husband has spent the last several days laughing at me because I am IN LOVE with my new vacuum! Seriously! The suction on this thing is amazing AND it is adjustable. If you're finding it hard to vacuum on certain surfaces, it's because you need to adjust your settings. So just for reference, I used it to vacuum a 4,000sq ft. house, with stairs and multiple surfaces (carpet, rugs, hardwood and tile), and it held up amazingly the entire time! When using the full unit, it picked up everything on the first swipe and left a spotless floor in its wake, INCLUDING on the hardwood and tile floors. I couldn't believe it. I hate sweeping with the broom, but the vacuum is never enough. Now it is! When using the detachable unit for the stairs and higher areas, it performed, dare I say, even better. The stairs were the best they have ever been. There was no loss of suction when switching to the detachable unit. The tools attached and performed above expectation, with no lag or inability to pick up debris. The tools for higher spaces worked perfectly and efficiently. This vacuum is a great deal especially for the price. I will never buy another vacuum, ever.
