WallyBags® 60” Deluxe Travel Garment Bag

A fantastic garment bag. We traveled overseas with it with my wedding dress and his suit (and my dress wasn’t a small thing, there’s plenty of space in there. But it fit in all the plane compartments or I had the flight staff put it with pilot or business class storage when not possible. The quality of the bag and zipper are great we had no issues with it and it traveled though multiple airports, cities and countries to get to our destinations. On the way home we folded it up further and put it in our suitcase and on about our way. Love that it’s a color that isn’t your typical black or grey so that it’s easy to find and hard to forget as you’re packing up to move to the next city. I can’t wait for our next travels as I know our clothes will always be safe in here.

Not everybody likes to dress up for dinner on cruises. But we do. So we needed a way to transport our fancy duds, and these garment bags are the answer. We bought two of them, one for my husband and one for me. My biggest concern was that the mechanism at the top might not hold the hangers securely and that my dresses might not all fit. And that they would be in a wrinkled pile at the bottom of the bag when they were delivered to our stateroom. Let me tell you, this item has exceeded expectations! Not only does it hold 7 or 8 dresses, it does so securely, and they are still on their hangers when I open up the bag. The long dress I wear pools a little at the bottom of the bag but doesn’t wrinkle. My husband’s jackets and tuxedo fit in his just right, too. The bags fold over and are secured by strong Velcro, and there is a handle for carrying like a suitcase. We couldn’t be happier and plan to take them on a lot of cruises since we are now determined to act like we are retired!!

I had a destination wedding and needed something to hold my dress while we traveled. All of the bags that I was looking at seemed to be made with fabric that could easily rip, snag, and allow liquids to soak right through - definitely not what you want when traveling with such precious cargo. However, this garment bag is vastly different from all the rest. Here are my pros and cons about the bag: PROS - very durable and thick material - spill-proof/water resistant - clamp at the top makes it easy to insert hangers while also keeping them in place - heavy-duty handles on both ends to allow for easy folding/transport - fits multiple clothing items in the bag at one time (my wedding dress, my husband's tux, my shoe box) - based on the other bag options that I have seen, this bag is exceptionally priced, especially for the quality that you get CONS - while the clamp for the hangers is extremely useful and a million times better than the standard hanger hole you see in garment bags, it still does allow for movement of the hangers which can be a slight inconvenience at times - I wish they had a slightly longer bag because 60" was not enough length to fit my dress in without having to bunch up the train and get it all wrinkled

The WallyBag is an absolute must! I bought it specifically to transport my (rather large!) wedding dress to our destination wedding, and it exceeded every expectation. The material is durable and waterproof, giving me total peace of mind. The zipper is reinforced and smooth, and what really impressed me was the hanger hook compartment—it’s not just a simple hole, but a cushioned, clasped section that keeps everything securely in place. No shifting, no slipping. It feels extremely high-end and handled travel like a trusted companion. Whether you’re packing a gown, suit, or anything delicate, this bag delivers in both protection and polish.

I bought this bag specifically for its length to fit my dresses; the hanger latch so items don't disappear into the bag and crumple up; and for the handles with velcro fastener. This bag has worked so far, but I only took it out one time. I would say this item is perfect but the bag is not actually 60" long in the interior space. I measured my dress before buying this and thought it odd that I had to fold it a bit since my measurement included the hanger to the bottom hemline with slight clearance underneath. Upon measuring the bag parallel to the zipper I found that even if you stretched the top and bottom edges it was a few inches shy of 60 inches in length. I assumed that the length was the bag and not including the handles as appears to be standard for other bags, but this 60" might be including the handles. The depth (3") and width (22") measurements on the other hand are accurate. My other issue is that the bump that the metal latch is secured on when closed is really small and smooth. I hasn't happened to me yet, but I imagine that this latch could easily slip over this bump especially if you were carrying the max 6 garments and as the product ages with use and time. I have only tested it with three metal+plastic swivel hangers; these hangers within the bag held a thick maxi dress, a layered maxi skirt, and a fully boned corset within carrying bag on pants clips. The bag zipper and hanger latch was not difficult to close, and I feel comfortable adding one more lightweight item and hanger to the bag, but nothing more, or else the latch might not hold and the total article thickness might bulge too much. The handles with velcro fastener are really awesome because most of the time you end up holding it like this as it's moved from place to place. The velcro fastens well.

These are low cost but also a little flimsy. They function for short trips but I would have preferred a little more durable product to safeguard my clothes.

Traveled internationally with this bag, and it withstood the test. I fit two suits and a tux in, along with multiple dress shirts, and it was perfectly fine. I understand why people don't love that there isn't a shoulder strap, but it's not a big deal. I highly recommend this garment bag. I see myself using it for many years to come.

Wanted a carry case for the groom's suit that would travel by plane and be waterproof, just in case. We asked the plane crew to let us hang it in their little vertical wardrobe at the front of the plane along with the wedding gown and they were very helpful!
