She loved wearing this suit, it worked really well for us.
This suit was a really nice lightweight fabric, like a thin t-shirt, so our girl didn't get too warm wearing it and it had a nice stretch to let her move without being too loose. It fit our almost 80 lb labrador well and looked cute too. The coverage for her surgery site was very good and it seemed to make her feel more secure having her shaved belly covered. I tried taking it off after a few days during the day when I could watch her and she totally freaked out until I put it back on. I ended up leaving the suit on for longer than I planned because of that so I really appreciated being able to adjust the back up so she could go the the bathroom while still wearing it. It was a good value for the money and perfect for what we needed it for. Sadly we didn't get it back when we loaned it out to a friend after her dog was spayed too, I guess it's that good people want to keep it. :)

This recovery dog suit was a lifesaver!
Omg! If you have a female dog that is getting spayed or is recovering from abdominal surgery, you should buy one of these โdog onesiesโ as we called it, lol! Our female dog was recovering from being spayed and she absolutely hated wearing the cone of shame. She couldnโt get comfortable while wearing the rigid plastic cone on her head (first time wearing a cone) and she was miserable. After about the first 45 minutes of wearing the cone we realized we needed to look into other options for our girl to be able to recover comfortably. The vet had mentioned that our dog could wear a body suit instead of a cone, if she would tolerate it. At that time of loading her into the car to leave the vet, we sort of laughed and didnโt pay much attention to it. I mean, who has ever heard of a body suit for a dog? Well, it was not long and we were searching the internet for just such a suit. We felt bad enough that our extremely high energy, young playful pup was dealing with recovery from surgery, and the many restrictions that she would have to accept, temporarily. She is so energetic and playful, always jumping around the house, inside and out, and always with a toy in her mouth. Toys are such an important part of her daily life/ routine , and we had to take them all away for about 14 days. The vet told us we had to remove all toys that would encourage excitement and jumping/ playing , in order for her to completely heal without any complications from stitches coming open. Our dog had to take doggie downers (prescription that made her less active) to help keep her calm and more relaxed. Even still, keeping her calm and quiet/relaxed was very difficult. With her wearing this โdoggie onesieโ however, she was finally able to fully relax to sleep. She could not get comfortable enough to fully relax while wearing the cone of shame. While wearing the onesie, she could lick the fabric, but not get to her actual stitches. She excepted the strange new concept of wearing dog clothing and never tried to get it off by herself. Maybe part of this is because we constantly made over her and how cute she was in her dog onesie, lol. The material is very soft and stretchy, just like human baby onesies, lol. The Velcro closure is very strong and secure, yet also very easy to undo and refasten. As you can tell by some of the pics I added to this review, the onesie (Aka dog recovery suit) we purchased did not fit our dog perfectly, because our dog is a mixed breed with a longer body. Our dog is about the size of a full grown Labrador, but taller and longer bodied. Her nickname is stretch, because she the size of a Lab with about 7 inches in length, stretched out in her body. As a result, part of the time her lower neck/ almost shoulder area exceeded past the head opening of the dog suit. Thank goodness for the very stretchy fabric. The dog suit did not fit her perfectly, but it worked and we got through the 2 weeks of recovery. This purchase/item was one of the best things we have bought off Amazon. It did what it was supposed to. It aided in a more comfortable recovery for our dog, not to mention help us to keep our sanity during the process. I highly recommend buying this product if you ever have to get your female dog spayed. Also, I think it might be a good option for female dogs to wear while in heat, to help keep your house cleaner. Could probably work as sort of a dog diaper in that situation. Note: When your dog has to go potty and/or poop you really need to undo the Velcro closure and either roll it up and back (on top of their back) and refasten Velcro holding the fabric out of the way , or , remove onesie temporarily and then put back on. You may want to consider purchasing two of these. That way if one gets dirty or yucky you can wash it in washing machine (recommend air drying) and still keep one on your dog while they are in recovery.

Perfect, but size is inconsistent and shrinks
I'm giving this four stars because you should consider it but be aware of some facts first. It turned out perfect for my dog, allowing her to heal a large incision without having to wear a cone but generally the quality of this product is just weird. In brief, it could be absolutely perfect for your dog but if you can, it would be smart to order more than one in different sizes. If you know your dog is going to be having a surgery maybe buy it ahead of time to test it out. My female dog who had a splenectomy and would have had to wear a cone for over a week without this. Her incision runs in a straight line on her underside, from about her sternum to her pelvis. The onesie covers all of her body other than her legs and there is no way she'd be able to take it off herself. She seems perfectly comfortable though and doesn't try to. It's very easy to get on if she's standing and pretty easy if she's laying down and can't get up. With some onesies you might have trouble with peeing and pooping but this is perfect because you can easily undo the velcro, pull the back end out through her legs and tail, then fold it forward on her back and fasten it again. It takes 5 seconds and frees up her rear end so there's no mess. You could also easily put it over a diaper. The problems are that the size is all over the place. I have one that is very snug, one that's quite loose and one in the middle. Another is a good fit on the top half of her body but the lower part that covers her butt is very loose. If I were trying to cover her butt or hips and she was trying to get at it to lick, that particular one would be useless because she could get her snout in the openings. But the other 3 I bought would totally work for that. There is kind of a loop thing on the top of her back where supposedly you should be able to have the velcro ends underneath but it is impossible because the opening is nowhere near wide enough to fit the strap in. Like by an entire inch. It's not necessary though because the velcro is very strong. I don't think it would add anything for me to be able to hide the ends under that. Every one of these I've purchased has a different size opening too, which is extra weird. I get the feeling that whoever is making these is just cutting the fabric freehand without a pattern because they are so insanely irregular. One more thing about the size is that I went with an XL because it's what I could get delivered overnight and figured I'd try just in case so she didn't have to wear a cone, but I never would have thought she'd be an XL but a L would not at all be big enough. Still, I wouldn't say specifically to size up though because the size is so unpredictable from one to the next. Other problems are that it shrinks a bit when you wash it which is a problem if you got one that is already snug. None of mine shrank so badly we couldn't use it though. Dry on low heat because the velcro gets stiff and curls if you dry it on high heat. The fabric is thin so don't think this is going to keep a skinny dog warm but I was happy to have something covering my girl's shaved belly because it is winter right now. If you need a onesie or want to try it out to avoid having to use a cone, I do recommend trying it if you want a solution to avoid the cone. But, if you can order multiple sizes and return what doesn't work for you I would recommend that. If you can order more than one even of the same size it might work out because the irregularity could make one fit well but not another of the same size. Also, if you can order other brands to compare it would be a good idea. Check out what the return policy is first. I would never normally recommend something of this poor quality, but for me it was really worth it because my dog's incision is big and otherwise easy for her to scratch and lick and with how hard it is for her to walk right now a cone would be terrible and she'd be falling down all the time if she tried. She has been through a lot lately so I'm glad we had these.

Perfect recovery suit!
I bought the Kuoser Recovery Suit the Kuoser Recovery Suit for my French Bulldog after her Cโsection, and honestly, Iโm really glad I did. I ordered a size small for my 14lb fur baby, and it fit her perfectly. My very first thought when I opened the package was, โThis is adorable.โ It literally looks like a little baby onesie, and the fabric felt soft right away not stiff or scratchy like some of the cheaper ones I purchased. Using it was super easy. The Velcro closures were a lifesaver because they made potty breaks quick and stress free. I bought a cheaper suit at the same with snaps, and it was such a hassle to take on and off, especially when she needed to go potty. This one was way easier to manage, especially during those first few days when everything feels chaotic. The suit kept her incision covered, clean, and protected without restricting her movement. She could walk around, lay down, and get comfy without any issues. And the best part? She looked absolutely adorable in it way cuter than wearing a cone, and definitely more comfortable for her. Price wise, itโs a little on the higher side, but honestly, itโs worth it. The quality, the fit, and the convenience made the extra cost feel justified. It met all my expectations, and Iโd absolutely repurchase it if I ever needed another one. Overall, I give it 5 stars. Great fit, soft fabric, easy Velcro, cute design, and so much better than a cone. Highly recommend.

Oversized for little dogs
Good quality material. Item is as shown. Not great for 4lb neutered dog. Leg holes way too big, flap too long but chest fits great. I think if flap was not as long could possibly work. I gave 3 star for size showing 4 to 7lbs. I think even at 7lbs leg holes be too big. Would be great buy for abdominal surgery just not neuter.

Great design and fit
Worked well for my 14 lb terrier. Very good fit. Suit was well-designed and prevented my dog from getting to his wound. Snug fit but not too tight. Others commented that the material was thin but I disagree and found the material to be of fair weight and thickness. My dog had no problems wearing it and I liked the ease of release to let the bottom free for potty time.

Effective and easy to manage
My furry baby is terrified of the cone of shame and the donut cone. The surgery suit was absolutely perfect! She was very comfortable in it and it was very easy for me to manage. It has a velcro so it was easy to fold the bottom part up when she needed to potty. This kept her from messing with her wound. I would highly recommend this!

Excellent for protection after female spays!
Exactly what I needed for my pup for after surgery for irritation and licking prevention! They sent us home with a blow up ring for her neck and she would not leave it on, and with her having two surgery sites to protect we had to try something else and the vet suggested to try this. She doesnโt mind it at all, and so far she has left herself alone and has not tried to lick at her incision sites. This is perfect for a female spay, and also for any other surgeries that you need to keep covered and clean. My dog also had to get a surgery for an inverted private part, and this keeps that covered and clean. I got her an XL and sheโs a 68 pound Plott hound. It fits perfectly. You put it over their head and then slide their front legs through the leg holes, and then the back has a long flap with a hole for the tail that goes over the butt and wraps under the belly between the back legs and attaches with strong Velcro around the midsection. The Velcro is up on the top of the back and stays put. If they are wearing it and need to use the bathroom you can unfasten the Velcro and thereโs a band on the back to hook it to so itโs out of the way and stays clean. I love the way it fits, tight enough to not shift around but loose enough for comfort. Itโs light weight and soft and she seems to like it. I am happy with my purchase and would buy more if I needed to. I highly recommend this for female spays especially if you have a determined pup that wonโt leave a cone or blow up ring on. Plus itโs super cute and comfy!

Great quality and excellent product
Life saver! So much more comfortable for my pup than the horrid cone. Made his recovery after desexing so much easier. Nice cotton fabric, good quality straps and velcro, and versatile design.

Size
Good recovery suit overall. The material is quite thin and lightweight, which was comfortable for my dog and didnโt seem to bother her. The sizing was a bit smaller than expected, even after checking the measurements provided, but it still fit well enough to do the job. It kept my dog from getting at her surgery site and worked as intended. Overall, a good product, just be aware that it may run a little small.

Perfect post surgery
Mabel is an 70lb golden doodle. She's more lanky than barrel shaped. Measurements put her between XL and XXL so we got XXL. It's a little roomy but adjustable. The neck is quite big but not falling off. I think it will be fine for her spay. Another review suggested looping the collar through the neck so we may do that. The fabric is soft. Hoping it doesn't stretch. She hasn't tried to take it off. So far so good. *update* the big neck keeps it from pulling and the velcro wraps are hidden so she can't easily undo it but it's so comfy she hasn't tried. Roomy enough that it doesn't pull or push on incision.
