Good strong sound pickup.
Much better than cheap ones. Spend a little extra. I am a firefighter and use these weekly.

Adequate for nursing student.
My son is using this in his nursing program. Seems to be working fine and has held up for the past few months.

Comfortable, Sound Strong, Good Value
Got this for the blood pressure cuff I use for my 90-year-old mom to hear her heart better, but the sound piece was WAY too big to fit under the cuff. But, I kept it anyway because it has a solid, heavy metal sound piece and thick, sturdy tubing, is comfortable in the ears with the soft latex ear buds, has plenty of length, lots of useful accessories, was a great value for the price, and it's fun listening to my own heart! The large side of the sound part was not assembled properly - the metal holder was cross-threaded and crooked, wrinkling the plastic skin - but I just took it off and screwed it back on the proper way.

By far the best stethoscope on the market
I am An RN by profession and I've been using the same stethoscope since I was in second year college. I have amid and loved the quality of the stethoscope that I bought for less Thn two dollars and further more I found it to be better than the more expensive brand names. ADC is a pretty good brand S I have done some research on the company, I bought this product cause of the dual tubing style and the pediatric bell and the diaphragm design. When I r evinced it in the mail yesterday I was eager to test out the true quality of this product. I was. Amazed by the clarity I hear upon auscultation the heart and abdomen. I was Ctually able to hear the Kortkoff sound over top of a thick sweater, which previously I was not ale to do on my old steth. Fiaurthermore I found that the product, when compared to a litman sounded much more amplified and much more clearer. Dont get me wrong, i love the litman asmuch as the next doctor, or Nurse, but for eighty bucks I find that a bit pricey. The ADC came with nice softgel tips, It cares a nice seal around my ears to prevent any loss of sound escaping. The Metal seems to be a very good quality metal that I believe that's what gives the nice loud sound. For the price and the fact that this was on amazon prime made it a sweet deal. Eventually I will upgrade to a litman but for the time being I find that this product does really well for the purpose for I need it to do and then some!

Works great if you're a FF/paramedic.
Love it. Leave it at the scene/on a rig/lose it on the quint, no sweat, it ain't no $100+ Littman. It's a sprague stethoscope, so there could be some noise from the dual tubes banging around, but it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. The unit also comes with some very nice, very soft earpieces... they make you feel like you're 3yo and stuffing gummy bears in your ears again-- or in my case, 33 and still doing that sort of thing. I usually buy these cheaper units because, well, they're cheaper. I'm a FF/Paramedic, not a cardiologist, so 99% of the time I am using this to take BPs and lung sounds, and they're perfect for that. I usually give these five stars because of the cost:value ratio, but this particular one I got was threaded short on one side-- so if not for the miracle of blue Locktite, the earpiece would unscrew and be lost forever in the depths of our ladder truck. The rest of it is all good though-- comes with extra bells and diaphragms, earpieces, and was perfectly calibrated right outta the box.

Using this brand since the 1990s!
I've been in healthcare since the 1990s, from nursing tech to my present position at the bedside in hospital nursing. I have always, with only one exception, purchased this brand of stethoscope. It is sturdy, it is easy to sanitize -- a crucial factor as we encounter more and more patients who are hospitalized with MRSA, MDRO, and other potentially contagious microorganisms that aren't immediately known at admission. I especially like the comfort of the earpieces. I am comfortable with being able to hear what is necessary for even cardiac murmurs when I use it. I also like the wider range of color choices; I frequently choose colors that no one else on my unit is using for no other reason than I like to be different. The stethoscopes are long-lasting, I only purchase them as often as I do because as a travel RN I lighten my load when I change locations and the cost is not an impediment to doing so.

Does fine for BPM....not well.... but you can hear it
This steth will pick up heartbeats and you can listen to lung inhalation/exhalation. However, if you're trying to identify anything other than a dull "thump...thump" then you will not hear it. Cheap price means cheap materials (an o-ring tore when I tried to remove the "removable" diaphragm). As always you get what you pay for.

As Used In A Medical Mission in the Tacloban, Philippines Typhoon Disaster of 2013
I bought several of these economical and cost effective ADC Sprague type stethoscopes to go along with some ADC Bp Cuffs I donated to the " MSH Cares " medical mission group in Iligan City, Philippines. A few weeks later these were used in a medical mission for one of the greatest typhoon disasters in history. They served their purpose very well and were used by doctors and other medical professionals in the harshest of conditions on hundreds of people. These stethoscopes held up well and are still working as well as when I first donated them. You don't have to be a medical professional to appreciate this kind of durability for such an economical product. Certainly, you could do better at a higher price but for what these were purchased for ( use with Bp Cuff and general assesment ) these were most effective.

Fonctionne très bien.
Fonctionne très bien. On entend parfaitement les battements du cœur. Nous l'avons reçu avec une couleur violette mais cela n'est pas si gênant.
