The hair seemed to get better after use. But on my dark brown hair, the color turned out to be more red.

I've used arctic fox many times and it never disappoints. My hair was pre-lightened with a a faded pastel pink from my last dye session. I applied a generous amount to ensure full saturation and I let it sit for 2 hours under a plastic cap, then wash it out with warm water. I use a colour safe shampoo & conditioner, wash my hair about twice a week, and I find the colour will be reasonably saturated for about 8 weeks, then it fades slowly for about another 8 weeks. The faded colours can be quite beautiful, embrace them! Notes: - If you have thick long hair you will need two bottles. - Expect a LOT of colour in your water, this is completely normal. - The runoff can make your shower/bath really slippery so please be careful! - There is a moderately strong scent but it's very pleasant and hasn't triggered my allergies to date. - You will not get vibrant results unless your hair is very light. - Make sure to buy latex/alternative gloves as this doesn't come with it. - The bottles are filled very close to the seal, be extra careful when opening! - Double check that you are purchasing the real deal by checking that the seller is Arctic Fox and is shipped by Amazon. There are bad people out there that will make counterfeit products. If something feels off, don't buy it or use it. The perfect amount of pink in this orange! It's like a blood orange color. It made my hair feel so soft after washing. I used salon professional color for my last dye job and it left my hair feeling crunchy and dry. Arctic fox actually left my hair feeling conditioned and soft. I like the way it smells too, almost has a grape scent? I used the 4oz bottle for my ends and front pieces. It colors my dark brown hair very well and then you can see the left over balayage I have takes the bright orange really well on the ends. Updated review, I now color my whole head and a single 8oz bottle mixed in with a packet of conditioner thins it out plenty to cover my entire head. My hair is super thick and goes down to my waist. It's definitely more red than orange , but it fades to such a pretty strawberry ginger.
