Great little book to have around if you have a pet and don't always want to run them to the vet.

I found this book to be an excellent source of information. Yes I. Would recommend it be on your shelf, for referral.

Homeopathy requires the brain of both artist and scientist. Not only does Dr. Jensen seem to be blessed with all these skills and more, she is a great teacher and writer as well! Beginners will benefit greatly from reading this text, but more experienced students will appreciate her experience as well. Luckiest of all will be the companion animals who will benefit from homeopathic medicine.

I was looking for a book that would help me determine the correct Homeopathic remedy to give my dog when she gets sick but this book did not help. It just has cases the vet has cured with homeopathic medicine but it does not state specifically what was used. In some instances it does, but I was expecting, "use this homeopathic medicine for this issue" and so on. I will try to resell it as I think it is too late to return it and look for another one. I'll make sure to read all reviews next time. My bad.

Great book

This book was recommended by a friend. It really opened my eyes to better care for my pets and also my own life. Highly recommend reading it.

It wasn't quite what I expected

There is no practical information in the entire book. The book only consists of randomly pulled cases that improved with homeopathy, and that too the course of treatment is not specified. I'm not sure how this book would help anyone. It is not even convincing as to why follow the alternative medicine route, since the book is written very unscientifically.

This book is a window into your homeopathic veterinary surgeon’s world. I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to understand the principles behind homeopathy, get a sharper grasp of how remedies are prepared and carefully prescribed for your pet as an individual, and gain a better appreciation of the consultation and follow-up. Some excellent analogies help the reader see disease through “new eyes”, requiring a mind shift from allopathic (traditional) medicine, and many interesting cases illustrate the author’s points. Dr. Jensen answers the question, “Are vaccines safe?” from a homeopathic perspective, explains how good nutrition (raw diet) works alongside homeopathy to support overall health and well-being, and illustrates how homeopathy can assist the dying patient. This is not a book for someone who wishes to learn about individual remedies per se, but one that will enable owners to become better observers of their pets and more active participants in the homeopathic consultation. Ultimately owners will be more involved in the healing journey and more connected to their pet, as homeopathy builds a unique relationship with owner, pet and veterinary surgeon. I just love this book--it's helped me greatly over the years, and I keep buying more since I give them away as gifts! My cat recently had surgery and it really helped me know what to do afterward, such as with homeopathic remedies. Also, with nutrition and more. Should be in any pet-lovers library!
