Being a long term St George’s (England) and Union Jack flyer, I have flown many different types and makes of these flags. The GSM would prefer that one only used an MoD approved cotton flag. Those are very good, they drape well, fly well and last a very long time. However, they cost a fortune and tend to be very heavy when wet. As a cost effective alternative for use on a temporary fibre glass pole, I find this product to strike the right balance. After trying the Union Jack first, I find the flag to be very robust and without any bleeding of the red or blue colours into the white material. So far so good …. thank you.

This flag is so much better than the cheep printed ones it doesn't wrap it's self around the pole I would love them to make a 5x8 one in the same way

Good size and good quality

I've bought 6 different flags since erecting my flag pole in May 2023. They cost between £10.00 - £14.00. This Union Flag cost £19.99 and it is so worth the extra money. The previous light weight Union Flag and the Ukrainian Flag both frayed quite badly after a few days of blustery weather. I should have take them down, but thought they would be alright! I managed to use iron on tape to make a temporary repair to the Ukraine one. This one is really heavy duty and well made. It's a lot stiffer because of the heavier material. Well worth paying twice the price of the frayed one. In the photo with the R.A.F. Ensign you can see the 'old' Union Flag beginning to fray.
