I grew up in the north of England and my dad was a lorry (truck) driver who sometimes travelled to the Cumberland area, when he did he would always pick up some Cumberland sausage. As I remember it came as one link. We always had it with mashed potatoes and Heinz beans. This product tastes good and reminded me of those times. Good quality and flavor, I think a little expensive but to me worth every penny. I will continue to buy this product regularly. YUM!

We usually make our own from venison/pork but not this year. We decided to take a chance. The arrived still frozen in a nicely packed styrofoam cooler box with multiple gel ice packets. The seasoning was nice. We didn’t think it was salty. Compared to the borewors we make and what we get in Zimbabwe this is just a little thinner in diameter and the meat was a much finer density. There was some shrinkage. The flavor was wonderful. I would highly recommend getting some if you’re missing Africa!! Sorry I didn’t take pictures. Not a bad buy if you’re wanting some Boerwors.

I was so excited to find these Cumberland sausages! Especially as they take great care with their ingredients but then I tasted them. Salt was the only flavor I could detect. Maybe the strength of salt would dissipate as I persevered? It didn't & I could only get through one of the two sausages on my plate. Very disappointed as I really wanted to like these.

Good quality meat makes the difference to a good boerewors sausage, as well as the traditional spices used in this product. The sausages arrived sooner than I thought and it was very well packaged and insulated and still frozen when I received it. My only negative comment is that there could have been a bit more fat in it but given today’s current penchant for everything low fat, it is understandable that the product would be less fatty than I am accustomed to. This was a nostalgia in every bite and I would recommend it to every homesick South African and anyone else who likes to eat more than hamburgers and brats at a barbecue!

Boerewors arrived quickly and well packed. Sausage looked a little thin, but that’s not always important. How was the taste? Overall disappointing. The casing was good, and the meat was good quality. My complaint is in the flavor and spice. It just lacked the bold flavor I was looking for from a SA sausage. It tried, but came up short. Add some more spice- PLEASE!

I threw it in the countertop toaster oven in a baking sheet at 350° for 20 minutes and it came out perfect. This is some really tasty sausage. Not spicy but tender tasty juicy meat in a natural casing. It has just the right texture and was devoured in minutes. It's a good thing they come in a 4 pack. And they come well packed with plenty of cold packs to keep everything cold during transport. Well done all the way around. I can't wait to try some of the other sausage I ordered at the same time.

I grew up in a Scottish household. Bangers and mash are a staple. These bangers are so good. I will say that they aren’t as sweet as the ones my grandmother made from scratch nor are they as strong flavored. But they definitely are worth buying. I’ll be buying more soon. Thank you for bringing back some childhood memories with these wonderful bangers.
