So far, I am very pleased with this product, it seems very sturdy and thoughtfully designed. I will update this if I run into any problems, but I am not expecting any.My last two carriers had to be thrown out because they were less carefully made. One could not be properly cleaned, and had to be thrown out after an accident. The other broke by having a rod stick out - luckily it stuck out at me, but it could have just as easily stuck into the carrier without me noticing, which could have been uncomfortable or dangerous for my cat.This one appears to have solved both problems. It can be machine washed, so it should survive an accident. And the denier material is very sturdy, and carefully reinforced. Additionally, the rods providing structure are all tucked into seams on the outside - if a seam ever fails (which seems unlikely in normal use) the rods will poke outside the carrier, it seems impossible for it to be poking my pet without me knowing.I am impressed by the extra room available when the top is collapsed to fit under a plane seat, that was very cleverly done. The very study and removable base means it’s unlikely to tip, but still washable. I like the option to expose the mesh or cover it - the mesh is important if it’s hot, but my cat is calmest when her view is obscured. The mechanism for locking the zippers is easy to use and secure.My small complaints: I would prefer a less plush insert, so there’s more vertical space. I wish the Velcro attachment on the bottom for the insert used the soft side, so I could choose to remove the padded base, but that’s easy to replace. I also prefer one over body strap to the two strap system they used, but I cut apart the two straps easily.I’m really happy with this. I don’t mind spending a more for a product that will last longer, and I think that’s exactly what this is.My cat seems pleased with it, and got in to relax with no coaxing.

These are the best pet carriers! They’re flexible giving your pet ample room to move around underneath the plane seat. Easy to clean, nice padding so your pet is comfortable, lots of air vents. I’ve used many carriers over the years for my dogs and this is by far the best!

This is a well made product however it arrived with some type of dried, off-white debris splattered on the middle side of the bag. It showed up real well with the burgundy color backdrop so I’m surprised this was missed by the seller. Perhaps it was a returned item?? Very gross.Also, for our use, I found it to be quite complex to open and close all of the compartments, including the breathable mesh which required unrolling of the window covers. Prior to opening any compartment you have to drill your way through the shoulder strap first and then the carry handle which bundles up into a snap enclosure. Again, this is a well made product but the design didn’t work for our needs.We have a 16 pound Schnauchi (mini-schnauzer/Chihuahua) that stands 16” high (from the floor to top of her head), 8” wide and 22” length. She could not stand completely but could duck and turn around with plenty of room to be comfortable. She easily with extra room fit the length and width of the bag. I can see why this is a popular bag for travel if you don’t mind having to deal with trying to get into Fort Knox!!!We also purchased the large PetAmi Premium airline approved soft sided ventilated bag. It isn’t as wide but it is taller and our pup can stand up completely and turn around with room to lay down. She fits in fully length wise with very little room to stretch out but width wise she has a bit extra space so she can curl up easily. It’s about a third of the price and you can tell based on the sturdiness but for our use, which is generally non-stop, 2 hour flights, it was a better fit.Both bags are squishable and can probably fit under many airline seats but I guess you could get the employee that wants to be a jerk and insist it doesn’t meet airline specs. I thought about making a foldable cardboard cube using the airline dimensions and if questioned, pull it out and stuff the bag in it!!Regardless, I hope everyone enjoys safe travels with their pups!

I am going to use it for transatlantic air travel with my cat. This pet carrier is so well designed with attention to a very tiny things. Quality of material used, unique concept of design with flexible rod-based frame accommodating to available space, hard and super light floor cover with soft pad, openings for venting - everything is superb. I have checked several other products available on the market and this one is just perfect for any travel, especially for air travel. I am highly recommending this product, just select the right size for your precious friend.

We have had this bag for almost 4 years and it has stood the test of time. As a matter of fact, our pug has turned it into his “condo” and he sleeps in it daily and loves it so much. We have the XL so he has plenty of space. It folds up easily for travel. We have not taken it on a plane but it is great for road trips.
