SABRENT 1TB TLC Gen 4 NVMe SSD

I recently installed an OWC Express 4M2 NVMe Thunderbolt 3 enclosure with four Crucial P3 Plus NVMe SSDs in RAID 0, the performance was nowhere near the advertised speeds of 2800MB/s on my Mac Studio M1 Max, it struggled to achieve 800MB/s read and only 500MB/s write. Turns out the P3 Plus drives use QLC NAND (quad layer), which allows manufacturers to produce large (2TB+) SSDs cheaper than TLC (tri layer) or MLC (multi layer) NAND. The P3s don't have any dedicated DRAM cache, they use part of the drive to cache before the data is written to the disk. This means that the cache is very quickly exhausted, and the write speed drops off even more. Enter the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus, a PCIe 4 NVMe SSD using TLC technology and a large DRAM cache. With four 2TB drives in software RAID 0 (striped) the performance is excellent, like night and day compared to the Crucial drives. Read speeds actually exceed the stated speed of 2800MB/s (this is a PCIe 3x4 enclosure), and write speeds are a not-too-shabby 2300MB/s using the Amorphous DiskMark, slightly slower using the Blackmagicdesign Disk Speed Test which is more aligned with expected video performance. As I will be using the drive for editing pro video formats this is a better speed indication. The drives seem well made and are supplied in a metal box, a nice touch and feels very premium. By registering them on the Sabrent website you also get a five year warranty which is great. TBW value (Terabytes Written, an indicator of the drive's endurance) is a reasonable 700TB per TB of capacity (compared to just 200 for the Crucial P3 Plus SSDs). Overall these are great drives and work well in TB3 enclosure. On a PCIe 4 motherboard or TB4 enclosure I imagine these will come close to their advertised speeds. I would recommend these for the OWC Express 4M2 enclosure on a Apple Silicon Mac, it's an excellent combination.

The best M.2 NVMe i've ever had. Still going strong 4 years on. ''branded'' hardware doesn't always equal better. Performance wise, The speed is identical to my 2Gb internet so downloading and installing games is extremely fast and in sync. Temps are never above 40c. Fits perfectly in my small-form factor 465icue case. Extremely good value for money for what you get.

Was looking for a replacement for my 2017 27" Imac, as the original SSD Fusion drive is a known bottleneck - ended up trying this out as a bootable drive via the Thunderbolt. Granted - it's another piece of kit attached to the computer (using a Sabrent EC-T3NS case), but it has TOTALLY transformed speeds in all respects - boots up like a new M2 mac, and saved me a fraction of what it would cost to get a good Mac working on a 27" screen - tbh the Imac screen is really second-to-none, so am pleased I didn't have to ditch that or get a fandangle widget to hook up a not-so-cheap Imac mini.

Quality product with excellent packaging from Sabrent. Good price too for the drives storage capacity (2tb) and really simple to install as well. A fresh windows install runs like a dream on this drive. Haven't installed a Sabrent heatsink on it but my motherboards small heatsink seems to be keeping it cool enough.

Failed in less than 11 months of light use. It decided to just die without any warning even though I never saw any issues with smart status. Could not even recover anything from it. Unfortunately I have another Sabrent Nvme in use... EDIT: I attempted an RMA with Sabrent. Due to some complications the broken Nvme was stuck somewhere in transit. Sabrent were nice enough to not only replace the Nvme anyway but also throw in a free heatsink. The customer service was also quite good. Theres a lot of bad reviews for their RMA process online but in this instance I seemed to have no such issues. I'll edit my review again in some time to see how this drive fares.

Well presented product I must say When you open the outer box you are presented with a copper coloured METAL inside case and that in itself spoke volumes of the care and attention to detail on this product. The drive was easy to install within my ASROCK live Mixer Z790 motherboard and I dare say that I have thoroughly tested this drive and very few nvme products actually live up to their advertises read/write speeds. Well according to Crystal diskmark this does indeed do so and with great gusto. Forget Western Digital 850x as this runs as fast but with a decent reduction in price then Sabrent it seems have built a good name for themselves pros: Well presented Runs blazingly fast Cons the 4tb version one has to literally pay over three x the cost of this so may as well get 2x 2tb

Well worth it, decent capacity, great speed. Running like new.

The access speed shown on the console is a bit more than 6100 MB/s. I don't know its long term endurance.

Le Sabrent M.2 NVMe SSD 2To Gen4 m’a bluffé par ses vitesses ultra-rapides et sa fiabilité au quotidien — parfait pour booster mon PC, que ce soit pour le travail, le gaming ou les gros transferts de fichiers.

Ich habe 8 Stück die an zwei Broadcom 9460-16i Controllern als Raid 10 werkeln. Sowie vier weitere 4 TB NVME an einem dritten 9460-16i in einem anderen Server. Die Nvme`s wurden im Gegensatz zu den anderen 8 TB Teilen eines sehr namhaften Herstellers vom Controller sofort erkannt und tun seit über anderthalb Jahren unauffällig ihren Dienst. Zum Aufrüsten eines bestehenden HDD Servers auf NVME-Raid sind sie optimal. Datenverluste habe ich keine beobachte, auch ist bis jetzt keine NVME ausgefallen. Meines Erachtens die beste NVME für Derartiges. Der Preis ist in Hinsicht auf die Qualität absolut in Ordnung.

Non è assolutamente vero che non è compatibile per PLAYSTATION 5. Io avevo provato la 3.0 e ciò che mi detto la play, è l'immagine riportata che vedete. Quindi. Questa è perfetta per la play! Ne ho prese diverse, ma nessuna compatibile, questa l'ha letta immediatamente ed ha una velocità pazzesca. Ho preso la versione da 4tb. Ve la consiglio! Per il momento va alla grande!
