is this only for styrofoam? can I use it on foam cushions or crafting foam board?

Cushion foam is usually too soft to get a clean cut with heat. Stick with a good foam saw or even a turkey carver. Craft foam, foam core and the like, on the other hand, this should work just fine.

Will this cut core board (cardstock on both sides of a layer of foam) in a circular pattern smoothly?

Nope! Not meant for cardboard, foamcore, or anything but styrofoam. Cardstock and foamcore can be easily cut with an xacto knife and template!

Have this product without the u shaped wand how can I get one?

I would contact the manufacturer to see if that part is available. Make sure you include the model number to insure they send you the appropriate part.
