Effective if applied like a a shaving foam. Keep for 2 hours and it will be effective for 1 hour. Though price is too high for such small jar.

Great product. I'm getting a full backpiece done and it has helped tremendously. I had line work and some shading & color done without anything, and while it wasn't bad I knew I wanted something to take the edge off. I ordered this as it was suggested to me and it definitely works. My last session took a couple trys to get the stencil correct on one side and there was a big difference in numbness between the sides. My daughter also got a chest tattoo recently and she didn't think it would make much of a difference. I convinced her to use some and when she was done she told me how glad she was to have used it and she could tell a difference when it was wearing off. The trick is to put a good amount on the area 1 to 1.5 hrs before the session and wrap it with cling wrap. Let your tattoo artist know you used it, and always pay attention to your body & it's response to pain levels.

I don’t ever write reviews but I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to write this for anyone who is skeptical about this product as much as I was! I saw a lot of people saying that their tattoo experiences were basically pain free...and they were absolutely right! I just got my shin tattooed today and I followed all of the steps and had great success. I lathered it on my leg and wrapped it with Saran Wrap about 1.5-2 hours before my session. It took about 30-35 minutes for my shin area to “feel numb.” About 5 minutes before my session I used the Saran Wrap to help wipe off the product and then used a dry washcloth to wipe the rest away. I could tell that it was numb at that point but it did burn/sting a little bit once it all came off but it might have just been because it was so numb and the washcloth wasn’t the softest. Anyways during the session my artist did a small “test line” to let me get a feel for what pain I should expect and no joke there was literally NO PAIN! I looked down to see if she had already started or not and she had and I couldn’t feel it! I got through the entire outline and most of the shading without feeling a thing! It was an hour and 15 mins into the session and that’s when it started to wear off in some areas and that’s when I started to really feel the pain. I only had about 15-20 minutes of shading and touching up without full numbness and I was SO GLAD that I had this product on for the beginning because had I not...that would have been the 2nd worst tattoo pain I’ve ever had...the first being my ribs 🥴 I wish I had this product for that! But if you are skeptical or questioning if this product is worth it...it definitely is! I will for sure be using this product again! However, do be careful with how much you use because you could use to much and get sick (I did read about toxicity with to much lidocaine) but just wanted to give a little disclaimer.

i’m in the process of getting a sleeve tattoo and this product is amazing becuz it numbs my arm. here is my technique. note the longer the gel remains in skin the more numbing. i apply a coat to area or in my case my whole arm as sometimes i don’t know where tattoer will work on. once i’ve applies gel i use a small 2 gal transparent garbage bag. cut the end off and slip my arm into it wrapping than wear a long sleeve shirt or long sleeve compression shirt. so why i do this is so the gel does not dry up and allows me to drive to tattoo studio and stuff remains in my arm instead of just drying up and or smearing in clothes etc. by wrapping it up. you are keeping it wet which creates more numbing as the skin soaks all it can. once i arrive to tattoo studio i use baby wipes to clean arm. one hour of doing this means my arm remains totally numb for about 2.5hrs and i literally feel zero pain. if i know it’s a small area i’ll apply gel which it than drys up in 5min or so. i let it be like that for 20min than use baby wipes to clean off my arm and it’ll be numb for about 30min which is good enough for shading in. i highly recommend this product if i plan to do 3hr tat sessions as it will allow u to relax more. feeling less pain which means u sit still longer which is vital to getting good tattoo lines. i heard some use food wrapper cellonefane but pain in butt to do one handed trust me a small clear trash bag is really the quickest and easiest way to go plus super quick to just remove. i learnt about lidocaine and tattoos after i started it and now that i use it i can assure it has zero impact on ink or the needle going in so it’s a no brainer. i will always use this product to simply make my tat experience more enjoyable.

I used this for a sternum/under breast/stomach tattoo and IT WORKS! I started by taking a hot shower, exfoliating and shaving the entire area. Then I applied the cream in a thick layer (1/2 bottle, no rubbing in) across the area I’ll be getting my tattoo, plus a little extra coverage on all sides. Then I wrapped the entire area in plastic wrap. I let this sit for one hour. Then I reapplied the cream in a thick layer (remainder of bottle, no rubbing in) and covered it again with plastic wrap. I left this on until I got to the shop (about an hour and a half). It was cleaned off in the shop. We quickly started and I couldn’t feel a single thing! The numbness lasted THREE hours of my 4.5 hour piece. The last 1.5 hours was brutal because I could feel everything at this point but it was manageable. I wouldn’t have been able to get this piece without this cream. I will be using in future for other tattoos. 10/10 recommend!

I put the cream on thick enough to stay wet texture, covered and wrapped with plastic wrap and let it sit for 2 hrs. I wiped off excess that was still wet. When wiping you can tell immediately the area was numb. I stayed numb going on 4 hours so far. Size of product is good for the price because it works. Its very easy to use. And I rate it AAA+++ effective. I highly recommend it for anyone with pain issues or tattooing. Very good brand.
