I've purchased Tree of Life products several times over a couple years, and I have always been happy. The serums are gentle and effective. Though it says it can take weeks to see results, I think that you can feel it within a few days. Your skin feels soft and healthy right after you apply it. I use the Vitamin C in the morning, and the Retinol at night, both before moisturizing. I genuinely feel that the products contribute to tighter, less blemished, younger, and more moisturized skin over time. It's important to keep up a complete regime - cleanse well, before, moisturize (and put on sun screen) after. The products fit in well. It's likely equivalent to similar products on the market, but it is extremely affordable, which I have always valued. A major win!

This is a great product at an incredible price! I bought this set after only just getting into proper skin care a few months ago (I'm 24). Due to mistreating my skin for so many years (through both neglect and overzealous zit-popping/extractions) I have a lot of hyperpigmented spots on my face, so I was looking into both retinol and vitamin C to fade those scars when I found this. The price and the other positive reviews convinced me to go for it, and I'm really happy with this duo so far! I've been using the retinol less than the vitamin C as it can definitely be drying (following with a good moisturizer is ESSENTIAL - I mix mine with pure vitamin E oil to be safe since I can flake easily) so it's hard to pinpoint which product has been the most beneficial, but after two weeks of using this set daily I can say that my scars are noticeably lighter! I would include before/after pictures if I'd thought to take a "before", oops. Also, I am REALLY happy with the droppers - some pipettes drip product all over and make it difficult to keep track of how much you're using, but these keep the serums in and dispense them in even, steady drops. I'll definitely be reusing these bottles when I'm out of serum!

I don't use many products on my skin, but I was initially given this product by a friend and it has made a noticeable difference on my complexion after using for a couple of weeks. Other people have also commented on my complexion. It is soft and smoother looking since using all three products, hyaluronic acid, vitamin c and retinol combination. I gave these a four star because I feel they have a scent to them that I don't like, but no other product has done what this combo has done to my complexion. Overall there is no lingering odor so I tolerate and keep using them.

These serums are great! I suffer from hyperpigmentation and melasma patches after my daughter and if I stop using Retinol for 1 day it shows. I had been a little lazy, well not lazy but saving $ recently and hadnt been spoiling my skin as I usually do. I started seeing the patches return so I decided it was time for my Retinol and Vitamin C combo. This was the first time I bought this brand and This Combo is BOMB!! I saw the glow return after only using 2 days. I use them both because thats just how I do and for the price, you cannot go wrong! I will continue to buy this brand because I feel the Retinol does its job and is not harsh on the skin- NO PEELING here guys!!! The scent is just right, It is the right consistency and a little dollop goes a LONG WAY!! Great buy!

First of all, this serum is the bomb.com! I decided to try something different and start a whole new regimen for my face and came across the 10 step Korean facial routine. I’ve only been using this serum and other products since Christmas day and when I say that in a weeks time; I’ve seen such an improvement in my skin... IT’S CRAZY!! I especially love the retinol serum and it’s non greasy formula. I have oily skin so this is a very important aspect I was looking for; I use it at night. Testimonial coming in 3...2...1... I was stressing over the holidays and couldn’t seem to get anything to work for my face 😓 I put the Vitamin C serum on in the morning and the Retinol Serum on at night for 3 days in a row..... I woke up the third morning and my skin was pretty much completely clear! The pimples had gone down tremendously!!! I kid you not... these products are WORTH THE PURCHASE!!!

I am 50 years old female, and use the Proactive 3 step for clean, tone, and moisturize my face. I'm not sure if it was the combination of the 2 products or not. But I did use the product after cleaning and before the other products as directed. A product is not clear, foggy in nature, and very sticky. However, it does dry quickly after putting it on. Although I received this review from Amazon right away, I waited a month to fill this out because I wanted to give the product a really good try. I experienced small breakouts on my face, and a large red patch on my chin. I'm pretty sure that it was from the vitamin C serum, as I did not use the retinol as much. I did notice some pumping of my skin and after the redness on my chin, I just decreased use. I think the two products did a good job brightening my skin and smoothing my skin Oh, but I really didn't feel like my skin was moisturized. Overall, I would just rate it as okay and may have had high expectations because of the reviews. Or my skin is a bit more sensitive than others, or it may have been a combination of products I used.

So I gave 5* for "scent" because these Have no scent, and I prefer it that way, lol. The Vitamin C serum absorbs a little bit sticky, and the Retinol one absorbs dry, so I don't know if I would call them "moisturizing". But having said those two things, OH HOLY WOW are these serums effective and awesome! The little bunchies of fine lines and wrinkies under my eyes and between my brows are nearly gone now... And my under-eye bags are slowly smoothing out. Other, deeper, lines are smoothing as well...they probably won't go away completely but. Really can't ask too too much of a serum. These are also doing a fantasic job of evening out my skin tone. I honestly can't say enough good things about these serums. I have defo found my fountain.

First, I would like to review the TOLB Retinol Serum. I find this serum to be gentle enough for my sensitive, combination/dry skin. I find that it's not as harsh as prescription strength Retin A or even The Ordinary retinol serums and emulsion. I tend to get dry patches on my skin and retinol as well as ascorbic acid, makes them worse. This retinol serum (or the Vitamin C Serum) doesn't have that effect on my skin, yet it is still very effective. I only use this retinol two to three nights per week and I always exfoliate the next morning. I recommend this especially if your skin is sensitive or dry. Now for the Vitamin C Serum. I absolutely love the ingredients in this serum and that the Vitamin C derivative is sodium ascorbyl phosphate, which is much more gentler and stable than ascorbic acid, yet still effective. I use this every morning and my skin is always bright, hydrated, and supple. I do not find this serum sticky like The Ordinary's Ascorbyl Glucoside or as harsh as their other Vitamin C Serums. Don't get me wrong, I love The Ordinary's products as I use their Buffet, Caffeine, and Argireline Serums; I just cannot use their active serums. I also recommend TOLB Vitamin C serum for those with sensitive and/or dry skin. By the way, my skincare consists of a 10-step K-Beauty(ish) routine.

I have tried so far only vitC, as it’s not recommended yet for retinol products. Vit C very pleasant, quickly absorbed. Like it

Only received this couple days ago and I am already hooked. The retinol is amazing. Good texture. Goes on well. Extremely good value for money. Time will tell if it makes any difference to my 40+ year old skin but I have very high hopes
