Hemlock Park Palo Santo ling Wood Wick Candle Made with Organic Coconut Wax (Standard 8 oz | 225 g)

I’m rarely impressed by a candle, I usually find them frustratingly poor quality for ridiculously high prices. So I was surprised when I tried my first Hemlock Park candle and found that they are very good quality for an affordable price! They have 7.2 oz ones for about $20 and I’ve both reviewed some of those and purchased some as well with my own money after trying them. When I saw they came out with these bigger 16oz ones for $35 I was excited! First thing you should know about this brand and candle is that they burn a very long time and the scents are soooo good! The scents are complex and comforting, I honestly have not gotten a single scent that I didn’t like yet out of like 6 of them. I also get migraines when candles have certain kinds of cloying scents and these do not bother me at all. They have a good amount of fragrance throw where I can smell it a room or two away which is awesome. I also have always liked the crackling wooden wicks so I love that they have that. The crackling is so soothing and comforting. Another awesome thing about this candle is that they all (even the smaller 7.2 oz ones) come with a sample sized candle in a different fragrance, and also are packaged inside a velvet pull tie bag with the Hemlock Park name on it. And then all of that is put inside a nice and thick cardboard box that is beautifully designed and not just some plain crappy box like a lot of other candles. These make them perfect for a gifting candle! I would honestly take these candles over any Yankee or bath and body works candle out there! And if I could give these more than 5 stars I totally would!

I am always nervous with “aromatherapy “ or “aromatic” anything, perfume, candles - whatever. This one seems well made, it has a wooden wick as described, and the smell “Cactus Flower” is mild and only ever so slightly soapy. Came packaged in a very nice giftable box and bag and with a small extra gift of a travel candle - the main candle is in glass with a metal screw top, the small one is all metal but has a anti slip rubber bottom attached to it, to prevent heat and make it anti slip. Definitely feels like “Made in USA” quality, unfortunately all candles are very pricy these days! 4 STARS ⭐️ -> (*RATE SCALE*: 5=perfect; 4=minor imperfections; 3=on fence; not sure if I’d buy again; 2= too many problems; 1= shouldn’t be sold or is dangerous).

I very much enjoy a good candle but cannot stand fake fragrances. Hemlock Park advertises that they hand pour clean coconut wax candles and use essential oils. I got the cactus blossom scent. I have no idea what a cactus blossom smells like but the scent description in the listing sounded lovely. It is burning now and I’m not sure that I can distinguish any of the listed scents. It doesn’t smell bad. It does smell good but it’s also a bit strong. They suggest to let it burn for at least two hours but I’m not sure I can stand it that strong for that long. I have a very sensitive nose though. I will note that my dog asked to go outside right after I lit this candle. She is a coonhound with a strong sense of smell and this may be too much for her. …I should probably check the essential oils and make sure none of them are toxic for dogs. 😬 This is a hefty candle with an advertised burn time of 90 hours. That’s a long time! The wood wick does make a comforting crackling sound as it burns. The dark glass is heavy and pretty. I’m sure it’ll be gorgeous as the candle burns lower into the jar. I like the sample candle that came with this one. It’s a brilliant marketing ploy. I’m actually more likely to purchase that scent than this cactus blossom in the future. This arrived packed in a black velvet bag inside of a box. Would make a great housewarming gift! This is a quality American made product with clean ingredients. Much better option than Bath and Body Works! I would recommend this product.

Fits perfectly and looks so nice under my candle warmer lamp! It's so hard to find a candle that is the right size. The scent is very nice and fills the room within minutes of warming. I didn't realize it had a wood wick, but if I was lighting it that would be an added bonus. They also included a small tea light size of another scent which was a great surprise! It comes in a nice box and includes a velvet gift bag so it would also be great for gifting. I would definitely purchase again and want to try more scents.

Probably my favorite candle scent ever, it's so soothing, feels so peaceful and meditative whenever I turn it on. The amber glass jars are beautiful too. I love the crackling wick, it helps me relax for bedtime when I light the candle at night. They last for a while too. It's hard to describe the scent, it's like sage with this delicious cotton candy edge to it (but it doesn't smell like food, just rich and sweet).
