II (2) Shoe Repair Glue 26.6ml Crystal Clear Permanent Adhesive

I bought this to repair a pair of boots where the sole had started coming away at the front from dragging my feet, and it worked really well. It was easy to apply and did exactly what I expected a shoe glue to do. The main thing to note is that you do need something like a clamp, or another way of holding the shoe firmly together while the glue sets, so it is worth being prepared for that before you start. Once secured properly though, it held well. For around £7, I think it is excellent value for money. I only needed a tiny amount for my repair, and there is clearly enough left for many more uses. Realistically, I think I could repair at least 20 more pairs with what remains, so it works out much cheaper than taking shoes to a repair shop each time. Overall, a really cost-effective product that is easy to use and well worth having if you want to do small shoe repairs yourself.

What may not have been pointed out is that the instructions are quite detailed but in extremely small print, with sections squashed together in more than one language, and all on the back of a package measuring 18x9 cms. At time of purchase, Amazon includes the instructions from the reverse, which you may like to print out (The amount detail recalls glues that are primarily intended for professional or specialist use). I've attached a photo of the English-only sections though I don't know if it will enlarge sufficiently to be read, as well as the multi-lingual as per the advertisement.

Fantastic stuff. A bit finicky to use but after a while you get used to it. I used this to fix 2 pairs of my daughter's converse. She washed them in the machine to spruce them up however, they unbounded themselves from the sole around the edges. Shoe Goo 2 bonded them back really well. I used a long thin wooden skewer to apply and get in between the sole and rubber sides because you don't want to touch it. I also used some small clamps until it cured. Took about 2 days but well worth it. You can also apply in the gaps as a fill. Super waterproof, flexible and adheres very well. Could have other uses other than shoes to be honest. It's that good.

I bought a pair of quality boots cheaply due to the welt coming away. I cleaned the joining surfaces well, applied the shoe goo and left the boots for around 24 hours. After using for a few days the boots show no sign of the problem returning Perfect repair for me.

Not the best

This stuff actually works so well. Sole of Sketchers walking shoes had started to peel back quite a lot and didn't want to toss them. So took a chance with this Shoe Goo. You have to read the instructions as this is a water activated adhesive. First clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to remove greasy residue and oil. Slightly roughen surfaces with sandpaper, then clean again with the IPA and allow to dry fully. Then get a spray bottle that makes a fine mist and fill with filtered tap water. Very very lightly spray both surfaces to be glued and then quickly smear on the Shoe Goo and another very light water spray over both surfaces again (over the glue). The water spray/mist kayer is super important and it must be barely perceptable...don't wet it fully. Then joint the two surfaces and keep tightly together for at least 24h. I used some string and wrapped it around the shoes and tied the ends tightly to keep the surfaces together...they looked like two tightly wound mummys, but it worked! Some people say use elastic bands or pegs...but for me the string worked perfect. After 24h undo the string...some bits stuck to the glue but they pull what's easy. Been a few months now and shoes are still fine. I was quite surprised how well it worked!

Rubbish. Why the hell does this not have a nozzle like super glue? It’s just a cheap foil sealed cap so when you are trying to waterproof your boots the glue goes everywhere!

Bei meinem Schuh hat sich bei mir die Schuhsohle gelöst. Mit dem Produkt konnte ich diesen Problem einfach lösen und hält bombenfest. Ist allerdings sehr schwer sauber aufzutragen, wer also ein professionelles Ergebnis haben will, sollte lieber zum Schuster.

I've made two repairs in two different pairs of shoes and both are holding up really well. This is the first product that I've used that actually does what it claims to for fixing shows. Excellent product.

I looked for online reviews before I bought this, and I was not disappointed. I've used it on a couple of pairs of shoes and it does its job very well.

Really happy with the result. Stays stuck. I did use a clamp to hold the shoe in place and firmly together while it thoroughly dried though.

Super colle de réparation de chaussure pour les skateurs. Toujours fidèle à elle même. Tube tout de même petit et qui se vide vite mais bon. Petit conseil : mettez en avant l’apparition de trous dans la shoes, ça va les maintenir dans le temps !
