Was impressed with the heat generated. Uses fuel faster but who cares I bought the handwarmer to stay warm. Bag should last a life time making it far more economical than purchasing new catalysts from the original vendor. Works with all handwarmers similar to Hakkin Peacock and Zippo. Tutorials on the internet on how to replace.

As with other reviewers I have purchased this for replacing the catalyst material for my handwarmers. A massive saving using this compared to buying individual catalyst heads.

Used with Midwest Hearth Glowing Embers - 6 oz. Bag and the results are AMAZING. Yes expensive, but worth every penny.

Absolutely amazing. Those completely change the look and feel of my open fire natural gas fireplace. They glow incredibly realistically, making everything look dull and dim in comparison. Light ripples and they radiate so much, it's hard to stay in front of the fireplace. I grew up burning real wood for heat and I’m wary of gas fireplaces: I'm picky. This brings gas fireplaces way closer to joy of a wood fire, and adds tons of radiant heat, like a real bed of charcoal embers. I'm a huge fan.
