Coghlan's Unisex Adult Lightweight Dry Bag

I was contemplating between this lightweight dry bag and the conventional dry bag which looks more sturdy and durable but I decided on this one due to its flexibility and light weight. I've been using this bag to keep food supplies and electronics dry during sea kayaking. And after a day out, I use this same bag to separate the wet clothes from all other stuff in my bag. A big plus of this lightweight dry bag is its flexibility. This dry bag folds nicely into a very small package as needed; thanks to its flexible yet durable material, you can let all the air out and fold the bag all the way down to wrap around the few things nicely. I can use this 10L bag to keep just my phone and one granola bar - saving much space in my kayak for other stuff. On other occasions, I use this dry bag when traveling to keep my soiled clothes. Overall, this is a perfect dry bag for any kind of water sports and outdoor activity, or even for traveling to keep wet/soiled stuff separate from the clean and dry ones.

I got this as a liner for my 50L backpack. It fits perfectly into the 12" diameter main compartment and weighs only 3.2 oz. I put anything that needs to stay dry inside of it, and any liquids, fuel, etc. remain outside of it. If my backpack were to get wet or my water bladder, etc. leaked, the dry bag would protect all my gear. It also makes it very easy to remove everything from my bag at once, rummage through this bag to find it, and then drop it back into the backpack when I am done. The other thing I use this for is as a bear bag when hanging my gear at night. It seems reasonably durable for the weight, though not nearly as thick/heavy as the PVC dry bags I would bring in my kayak.

I'm very happy with this but things started off a little rough due to the shipping carrier. The box that the bag came in was severly damaged and the shipper took responsibility. I thoroughly examined the bag and found it to be in perfect condition. I was quite pleased with this considering whatever tore up the box, didn't seem to harm the bag itself. A 55 litre bag is a good size bag. This allows for numerous items of various sizes to be placed inside. Really the limitations are almost endless. Considering the price point on this,it is a fantastic bag. Closes up nicely. Some people have been concerned with teh thickness of the material. So far I don't have any issues with it, but I'm not exactly dropping down a cliff face either. I use it when camping or hiking and it works perfectly for that.
