Q: why does this product has a warning about a chemical that can cause birth defects or reproductive harm??

The warning you see on some of our products is due to a California law known as Prop 65. According to California Prop 65, it is required for: 1. The State of California to identify chemicals that could cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm. The state compiles these chemicals on a list containing over 800 chemicals, many of which are naturally occurring in the environment. 2. Businesses to warn consumers of any possible exposure to one of the chemicals on the list, regardless of amount or actual risk of exposure. Businesses must post signage and/or warning labels on specific products. Because our products may contain trace amounts of metals including Lead and Cadmium which naturally occur in the food and we recommend a specific serving size, we are required by law to place the statement on our packaging. The law states that if a person consumes a serving of a product every day over a 70 year lifespan and if 1 in 100,000 persons can develop one of the possible health issues, the product must be labeled when sold in California. This is not required in any other state or country.

Q: Does this taste like banana?

In my personal experience, there is not a real overwhelming banana flavor to it if you do not add more bananas.

Q: Do I have to use banana for the bowl? Can I just use the powder and ice?

The banana is completely optional. It just helps to thicken the mix. Other frozen fruit or ingredients of your liking can also be used.
