Great Deal!
When I purchased these headphones two months ago, they were only $30, which is a great deal for their quality. They sound great for budget headphones. They have excellent bass response, and though the highs and mids are a little lacking, for thirty dollars I don't care so much. They are very lightweight and have an auto fit headband which is really nice. The earpads are comfortable. The materials feel strong and durable. I use these when I am recording someone other than myself and I need to hear their performance as it is being recorded. These are semi-open headphones, which means that they don't isolate and they leak noise, so I don't recommend these for tracking with a microphone. Closed-back headphones would be better suited for that purpose. I don't mix with these so I cannot provide information about that. The only issue I have had so far is that I have not figured out how the cable detaches. I don't know if it really does detach. Overall, they are great headphones for the price.

These work really well for mixing and mastering
These work really well for mixing and mastering. Like any listening/monitoring environment, you'll have to spend some time listening to music to understand them. I don't care how much you spend on headphones or wall treatment; you still will need to learn your monitoring environment. With that said. I'm making the best sounding records I've ever made that stack up with anything commercially released.

Great.
Good range from deep bass to higher frequencies. Cord is long enough to do whatever is necessary for something you have to reach out from a distance. Could be used for regular mixers 1/4 inch input and also with your mobile phone or other devices with regular 3.5mm input. Compared to the Audio-technica ATH-M50x has almost the same pleasant sound. Difference is that the HD7 has is open so you could here things in the room when playing at a low level. If you boost the volume even if it is open, somebody would have to speak out loud or scream so you could here them. Also the HD7 has a slight lower volume level compared to the ATH-M50x. I think it may be due to it being open instead of a closed ear cup. For the price it's one of the best headphones I have listened too. Cons: Not so good for recording while close to the mic if you are using it as a monitor for recording while using a mic. The mic will pickup sound coming from the HD7 because of it's open ear cup. You will have to compensate the distance between mic and headphone and would risk picking up some room noise when recording.

Worth the price, great for tracking
For the price, it's a great set of headphones. I use them in the studio all the time. Nice long cable for studio work, too long for a pair of street headphones, but that's not why I got them. Good range of sound, respectable bass, big but very comfortable. Pretty sturdy, I've used them for several months and there's not much wear and tear. Not quite high quality enough for mixing (to be expected at this price) but I use them all the time for studio monitors and engineering. Bang for the buck, they're totally worth it.

Solid set of grab and go phones
Surprisingly good sound. Solid build. No issues after two months of regular use. Not audiophile quality, but for working out parts while home recording, silent practicing, etc, these are an excellent choice at a fraction of the price. More than loud enough, relatively transparent, across the frequency range. You will sacrifice a bit of sibilance, and a slight bit bit of clarity in the lower mids, compared to pricier models, but that is not their role. Need a set to toss in the gig bag that you're not going to fret about, that will give you 95% of your studio grade stuff, this is it.

Decent While It Lasted But..
These headphones were decent WHILE THEY LASTED. I used them for recording and mixing. They aren't heavy, comfortable to wear for hours at a time, and the sound quality is pretty good. Not the best in terms of noise cancellation, but it was good enough for $60. As the title implies, these headphones only lasted about 6 months. They started to sound very distorted and it took me a while to realize the headphones were the issue since I don't have access to much devices with traditional headphone jacks anymore :). When I examined the headphones, I noticed some of the wiring was a bit loose at the ear, which most likely was a result of me wrapping the wire around the headphones when storing. So avoid doing that..
