This is one of my favourite books! I actually took it with me to the sauna and had to finish the last 100 pages without a book cover just pages flying around. I think it is immaculate and written in such a beautiful way. I will definitely read more of the author:)

This book robbed me of my peace. I trembled as I read the accounts of life during the Biafran war for independence. The characters are so incredibly well developed and so vibrant that once you have met them, you feel as though you are with them, watching friends living these horrors. I am grateful to this author for teaching me about something that I hope to never live.
