I worked at the detailing department at a car wash and know something about buffers. This thing works *great* on paint, just like a commercial grade buffer wheel. If you have experience with a regular buffer wheel, this is an easy adaptation. It's small enough to handle easily, but big enough to do a fairly quick job. I use a corded drill for doing a large vehicle. Unless your cordless has brand new batteries, they may run out. But you will save money by not having to buy a buffing tool. 2 of these babies (1 to polish, 1 to wax) and a good drill is all you will ever need. They clean up by soaking in dish soap solution for an hour or two (use enough soap). I definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a good looking car and wants to save about $100 on equipment!

I used this with Mothers aluminum polish and brought my wheels I thought were painted silver back to the polished clear finish they were. Its been very durable for me so far even between tight spokes and around valve stems.

I purchased the PowerBall Mini to polish up some of the aluminum parts on a vintage motorcycle I am working on. It has done an amazing job. The PowerBall used with Mothers PowerMetal polish has allowed me to polish aluminum parts of the bike to look like chrome with minimal effort. You do not need much pressure when using the PowerBall Mini. And I would also suggest working the polish into the PowerBall Mini before turning your drill on, otherwise all of your polish will splatter off.
