The Twist Tie is in a casing that is open at the back..so you have to keep the cardboard back Plate to prevent all the wires coils from falling out the back. In addition it will take up too much space if the cardboard back plate is kept. The new Twist Tie casing is also very cheap material and flimsy. I simply used my old Twist Tie casing and put the new Twist Tie cable into the old casing. This Twist Tie Cable quality is also terrible!! It is essentially thin wire with green coating and not much flat edges on either side. Last time to ever buy this from this supplier.

I use this for tying winter sowing containers closed instead of duct tape so they can easily be re-used. Works great. Could also work for fencing or staking large/thick plants. Love the cutting blade on it so I don’t have to keep track of scissors.

good for use

Very handy, wiry twist ties. The fact that you can cut them to size makes them quite versatile for household and gardening projects. I used them to re-string Christmas lights on an outdoor deer and I know they’ll be quite helpful this summer with gardening as well to bolster vines.

While the the star I knock off this product is very much my fault, I feel it is still worth a warning. These are the same twist ties you most likely get when buying a loaf of bread. They are great at keeping stuff held together, but you can get them to be too tight if you are not careful. Some of the branches on my plants broke off due to these ties not being flexing. I do not believe this would have happened if I used something like a strip of velcro or silicone twist tie. Again, this was probably due to me tying them too tight. The positives of this product out weigh the cons many times over. While skeptical of the built in cutter at first, it never failed me and after using close to a quarter of the roll. The green color makes it surprisingly easy to see which branches have been tied down in the grow room. These twist ties are also multi use and I have even taken to keeping the roll in my kitchen. They are great for when you lose the twist tie for the bread, need to clean up any wires around your house or keep basically any two items held together. If you need some metal twist ties that can be cut to any length these would do great.
