Solid construction, good color and design, perfect for training.
These fans are absolutely great. I purchased one of each (black and red). They look sharp; nice coloring and detail in the drawings. They're also exactly the same ones that our Kung Fu center is using on the forms. When you snap them open, you get a loud and crisp sound (exactly what you want when running a form) and the construction is solid. I suppose you could also use them as a regular hand fan as well if you like; the construction is definitely solid (not like those toy paper fans we all played with as children). If you're a martial artist (or just need to keep cool) I recommend this product.

Pretty, but plastic & pointless.
The outer ribs are metal, inner are plastic, which made it a disappointment. It also has a sticker on it indicating that it can cause birth defects. How? By holding it? Does it give off dangerous fumes? Are people being warned not to cook with them or use them as plates? It’s pretty, but ultimately not worth the risk to future generations.

Nice Fan!
This fan is really nice. It tapers down towards where you hold the fan so it's not bulky. It broke in very nicely with quick response. Makes a sweet sound while performing a form. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Ok product. Not great has trouble folding back up. Shipping was weird as it was suppose to be 2 days took a week.
