The pos. reviews say the backpack is VERY roomy and they LOVE it! The neg. reviews say the backpack is made of poor quality. I'm torn? Please help.

I've had mine for a year. I use it for work. I stuff it w work stuff and snacks then bungee cord it to the back of my motorcycle. I throw it around, expose it to weather and it still looks brand new. The comfortable padding hasn't worn yet either. Whoever says it's poor quality must have a really, really, really nice backpack! And def didn't pay $50 bucks for it..

Will this fit under a seat when flying with laptop?

I think so, but if it is too stuffed with other items it might not. I push it underneath the seat with handle facing me and it seems to fit. The laptop is not a problem, the additional items that you put in the bag. The bag has an expanding middle pocket with a flap at the bottom of the pocket that allow for this expansion - it depends how much you stuff in this pocket. If you have overnight clothes, shoes, etc, it might become to bulky for underneath the seat! But it is nice to have the option to put much more in the bag!

is this backpack water resistant?

Will handle moderate outside for about 2-3 mins. It is made of absorbent padded material to protect contents, so would get waterlogged. Check out waterproof outer covers for backpacks. What is the quality of the material it's constructed with?

This backpack is made of the best quality material I have ever seen in a backpack. The stitching is wonderful. I traveled across the USA with this backpack and it still looks new after getting back home again. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good qualitybackpack.
