My first batch had two defective batteries that wouldn’t accept a charge, but EBL’s customer service quickly resolved the issue—great support! I recently bought a new set of four because my previous ones lasted nearly 10 years, requiring recharging only every 3 months toward the end of their life. In standby mode, these batteries last about 1.5 years before needing a recharge, which is impressive. After about six recharge cycles, they’ve already paid for themselves compared to replacing alkaline batteries every 5–6 years. I also appreciate the lower 280mAh capacity because it provides longer standby time than higher-capacity options, making them perfect for devices with small, consistent power draw. I’ve even used these in a non-temperature-controlled sunroom, where temps swing from over 100°F to below 10°F, and it hasn’t affected their longevity. That durability alone makes them worth every penny. I’ll keep buying this brand until they give me a reason not to. 11/27 updated from 1 star to 4 for customer service. EBL issued me a refund on the 9V batteries. I really wanted these to work on our smoke detectors, hopefully they can come up with something that handles the constant drain better. We love EBL batteries and have saved hundreds by being able to recharge them for frequently used toys and remotes. But this ain't it for 9V and smoke detectors. I bought them in September and 2 months later the batteries are already drained and 2 detectors are chirping low battery. A normal 9V lasts a year. I could have been ok charging and replacing these every 6-8 months, but not replacing 6 units every 2 months.
