Mi configuracion inicial era desde una 1080ti directo al DP del monitor 4K. Quería meter un mac mini tambien por DP asi que compré este adaptador y estuve probando sólo con la conexion de la 1080ti al adaptador y del adaptador al monitor 4K con un cable DP que tenia por ahi para usar con un portatil en un monitor 1080p. El resultado fatal, parpadeos continuos, se iba la imagen 1 seg y volvia e imposible jugar, asi que pensé en devolverlo pero antes hice un pedido de un cable DP 8K para renovar el viejo y ya de comprar pues de 8K aunque no necesite tanto. He probado con el cable de 8K y perfecto, ni un parpadeo con la 1080ti y desde el mac es un usbc a DP de 4K 60hz y tambien perfecto, ni un parpadeo. Con esto quiere decir que si os da problemas reviseis la calidad de los cables DP que usais, sobre todo del que conecta el adaptador al monitor.

Necesita un adaptador DC de 5v que NO INCLUYE, y no especifica amperaje.

This was a good buy. I was a bit weary because display connections and the associated cable and signal properties can be pretty finicky at times, especially with powered equipment such as this. However, it works perfectly and switches back and forth as advertised, even providing me with the 144Hz my gaming rig outputs. Makes life just a bit easier, in stead of swapping inputs on the backside of the screen, I can now just press a button to switch display input, and another button to switch my mouse and keyboard back and forth as well (which is, of course, another device)

I am using this to connect two computers to one screen. It works flawlessly. I have a windows desktop and a usb-c dock that I use with laptops (one windows, one macbook). My monitor is an old 11-year-old screen that has only one remaining working port. All HDMI ports are dead and there is only a displayport working. I connected the monitor on the one side of this device, and the dock and desktop on the other side. Everything works including the mac. YOU HAVE TO USE SHORT CABLES. The description says so. Do not use long cables with this, it needs short cables! I had a few 6ft cables that were not working well, I bought two 1.5~3ft cables and everything works perfectly now. My best guess is that this device drops the signal strength just a little bit so you can't have long cables.
