My bottle says "from Retinyl Palmitate and Fish liver oil"

to the seller: does this contain synthetic vit. a which is retinyl palmitate as others have said? i don't want r.p. - i want straight retinol.

Technically yes, it could be split with a bit of effort - e.g., you could pierce one tip with a sterilized needle and squeeze out half of the oil into an empty capsule (NOW foods also makes some empty capsules which are available on Amazon) to take later, then take the half-drained capsule as your dose that day. I have successfully done this myself. However, it would probably be simpler to look for pills that are already at the dosage of 5000 IU that you're looking for, assuming you can find one that meets your specifications.
