Selle Italia Selle Italia ST 5 Flow Saddle

I love this saddle. I've tried 5 different Selle Italia saddle since getting back into cycling. I raced for years on the Turbo, but I'm very fat now and a giant fat person doesn't fit well on a Turbo saddle. This is a good compromise-I'm not embarrassed by having a huge saddle on an Italian bike, but it keeps me comfortable enough to ride for a while. Nice quality too.

Was pleased with the saddle. After feeling like I'd been riding on a brick on 50- and 60-mile rides, this thing lessened the discomfort. I wouldn't say it's a terrible saddle, and if you need the 160 width, which is hard to find from Selle Italia, this is a good choice; also if you need a flatter seat that doesn't curl up at the back and imply that you must sit in one exact spot, this may be a good choice. I found myself hunting around up front and at the back on those saddles, just to relieve tension. Try doing that on one of those curled-up seats shaped like a cheap hard plastic chair from your break room at the widget factory -- it's like sitting on a raised 1/4" steel edge. In any case, despite this working better for me than those saddles and, say, a Bontrager Verse Whatnot or a Fizik Aliante Whatever, I sent it back. And that's because I am transferring all of my faith out of Selle Italia and into Selle SMP. Sell SMP makes a TRK that so far (without a lot of testing yet on my part) is heavenly (UPDATE: Heavenly but if you get aggressive, it can be bouncy), and the SMP Plus is coming tomorrow. As you can see I'm saddle shopping but this one was is one of the ones I'll remember more fondly than the bricks I've had to get rid of. The tribulations of not weighing 120 pounds.

This is a terrific bicycle saddle. It fits perfectly with my bone structure and what a difference that makes. It is the correct saddle and it is comfortable. It tilts slightly down— just slightly so as to remove unnecessary pressure on one’s underside. Very good value and excellent craftsmanship.

This is the best for short to mid range rides it's a comfortable saddle. Economical and quality.

Build quality looks really good, comfort is great, fit is good for me.

Very nice material. More cushion than I expected so I have to see. Will use in couple days due to funky weather in Chicago

I don't understand the great reviews. The padding is soft and it looks great but the big issue with this saddle is that they don't wrap the plastic edge in the cutout area. So you rub on the plastic edge and it takes two seconds and its uncomfortable. I ride with padded cycling shorts and it is still uncomfortable. I have a less padded Selle Italia with the cutout and that edge is wrapped but not enough padding for my butt yet. Disappointed to pay so much to find out it won't work.

Selle seat good to buy

Pad is separating from base after less that 200km of normal cycling. Would have expected better quality. Disappointed to put it mildly

This is the best saddle for endurance rides. Comfortable and easy to adjust.

I was expecting it to be a little bit wider than ST3, yet the opening in the middle is a bit shorter and slightly less comfortable. Still, this is a very personal thing, and the quality is good.
