The Cadillac of Humidifiers with Top-Fill Feature, Smart App, and Voice Control
If you're in the market for a humidifier, let me tell you, you can't go wrong with the LEVOIT Humidifier. Not only does it work like a charm, but it also has some fantastic features that make it the Cadillac of humidifiers. First off, let's talk about the size. This thing is perfect for large rooms, so if you're trying to humidify a small closet, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you're like me and you need something to cover a lot of square footage, this is the humidifier for you. One thing I absolutely love about this humidifier is the top-fill feature. It's so much easier than having to unscrew the bottom and fill it up from there. With the LEVOIT, you simply remove the lid and pour in your water. It's that simple. But wait, there's more! This humidifier also doubles as an essential oil diffuser. I love adding a few drops of lavender or eucalyptus to the water and letting it fill my bedroom with a delightful scent. It's like having a spa in my own home! Now let's talk about the smart app and voice control. Yes, you read that right. You can control this humidifier with your voice! I feel like I'm living in the future every time I tell Alexa to turn on my humidifier. Plus, the app allows you to set your desired humidity level and even track the humidity levels in your room over time. Talk about high-tech! And if you're worried about noise, fear not. This humidifier has a quiet sleep mode, so you can leave it running all night without it disturbing your slumber. In fact, I find the white noise it produces to be quite soothing. Overall, I highly recommend the LEVOIT Humidifier. It's powerful, convenient, and even a little bit fancy with all its high-tech features. So go ahead and treat yourself (and your plants and baby) to a little extra moisture in the air. You won't regret it! 1. Choose the right size: Make sure to choose a humidifier that is the right size for the room. A unit that is too small will not be effective, while one that is too large can lead to excess moisture and mold growth. 2. Use distilled water: Using distilled water in your humidifier can help prevent mineral buildup and bacteria growth. 3. Clean regularly: Regular cleaning is important to prevent bacteria and mold growth. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and disinfecting your humidifier. 4. Change filters: If your humidifier has a filter, make sure to change it regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions. 5. Control humidity levels: Use a hygrometer to measure the humidity levels in the room and adjust the humidifier accordingly. A humidity level of 30-50% is generally recommended. 6. Use the right type of water: Depending on the type of humidifier you have, you may need to use a specific type of water. For example, ultrasonic humidifiers may require demineralized water. 7. Place in a safe location: Make sure to place your humidifier in a safe location, away from electrical outlets and other hazards. Also, keep it out of reach of children and pets. 8. Use essential oils safely: If you want to add essential oils to your humidifier, make sure to use ones that are safe for use with humidifiers and follow the manufacturer's instructions. 9. Empty the tank when not in use: If you are not using your humidifier for an extended period of time, make sure to empty the tank and clean it thoroughly before storing. 10. Use as directed: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and maintenance of your humidifier to ensure safe and effective operation.

Excellent Quality & Effectiveness
The “LEVOIT Classic300S Ultrasonic Smart Top Fill Humidifier worked very well for me. This’s is the first and only humidifier I’ve owned. It is exactly as pictured on Amazon, and functions well. It’s a quality product - performance and durability. I used it nearly 24/7 for two and half years. I opted for a large tank which turned out to be a good decision. The larger the tank, the less often it needs to be filled. Though I was overzealous in hoping it could humidify a very large open-concept living room and kitchen. It did pretty well considering I was trying to accommodate a larger area than it was meant to cover. I regularly used all three mist “output” options to adjust for how the weather impacted the amount of humidity I needed. The vent for the mist can rotate which I found very convenient. The light had just the right amount of illumination. The scent infuser is the only thing I didn’t use, due to allergies not the product. The water container is very easy to clean. Since I wasn’t used to having a humidifier I often forgot to clean the inside the base of the humidifier (where the water runs through the system). That led to a challenge. There were some tiny spaces that needed cleaning but couldn’t be reached by anything I tried - sponge, finger, mini scrub brush, toothbrush, tiny bottle brush. I think it was just the structural design that impacted the reachability of those area. (That might be true for most humidifiers. I don’t know since this was my first one.) Eventually those tiny areas inside the base developed a nasty build up. Ultimately I had to throw it out because it wasn’t healthy to continue using it. That was the only down side of this product. Because I wasn’t diligent in cleaning it sooner and more frequently, perhaps the cleaning issue could have been avoided. If I knew a way to reach those spaces, it would be the perfect humidifier and i would definitely buy it again. Overall it’s an excellent humidifier and very effective in its purpose. Based on this singular experience, I consider Levoit a quality brand, tried and true, and wouldn’t hesitate to buy their products.

Too Much Maintenance for Daily Use
I really wanted to love the Levoit Classic 300S because when it works, it does add comfort. Unfortunately, the maintenance has become more stressful than the relief it provides. Despite cleaning this humidifier very regularly, I keep finding brownish residue/slimy buildup collecting in the water chamber and around internal parts (see photos). This isn’t just light mineral dust — it’s visible gunk that shows up even with frequent rinsing and proper care. I use clean water and follow the cleaning instructions, yet it keeps coming back. The internal design makes it hard to fully clean certain areas, so residue seems to accumulate where you can’t easily scrub. That completely defeats the purpose of a “health-focused” humidifier. Instead of peace of mind, I’m constantly worried about what’s sitting in the water and being released into the air. For a product that’s supposed to improve daily comfort, this has honestly made life more difficult — more cleaning, more stress, and less trust in the air quality. Pros: • Good mist output Cons: • Persistent buildup even with regular cleaning • Hard-to-reach areas inside the tank • High maintenance for daily use • Comfort comes with constant worry At this price point, I expected better hygiene design. If you’re someone who values low-maintenance and clean water circulation, I’d think twice.

Underperforming, never above 35% humidity in small room. Leaks after 2 months
Update: I changed this to 1 star bc go figure after the return window closed, now the thing leaks everywhere when the tank is full and I can only fill it a little less than half way or water goes everywhere. I’m sure it will totally fail in the near future. Total waste of money. I like my levoit air purifiers but these humidifiers are actually terrible. Original Post: I’ve been using this for a few weeks now. It’s rated for spaces up to 505 square feet, but I’m only using it in a 90-100 sq foot bedroom, so it should easily handle the space. It should be a powerhouse for this little room!! Not the case. 😭 Unfortunately, I haven’t noticed ANY improvement in air quality. Even when I set the humidity level between 60%, the app and the unit’s display show that it rarely rises above 40%, and it seems to hover majority of the time in the low 30% range. And it starts at about 28-30% humidity. I leave it on all day. No change. Overall, it hasn’t made any noticeable difference. And the stats in the app reflect this. I buy the purified water, I clean it, I change the filters, I close the bedroom door. Makes no sense. I still gave it 2 stars because it arrived quickly, was in perfect “working” condition, holds a lot of water, it is quiet and the visible mist is oddly calming. After doing some digging, I learned that this company, although the device is ultrasonic, keeps it operating on the more conservative side because they don’t want complaints about condensed windows and wet furniture, floors or walls. And that when they do room ratings, they are not doing those tests in rooms with very low humidity like most of us have in the winter. I wish I knew this sooner, it’s not what I needed. I still feel like for such a small room it should at least be able to get to 50% humidity. SMH. I’m honestly surprised. I thought this thing was going to be amazing and life changing. *sigh* it’s literally just for ambiance at this point.

Awesome humidifier, imperfect for cleaning - Review after 3 years of ownership
The 300S really is an excellent humidifier and a great value; my only disappointment is it isn't quite as easy to clean as advertised, as there are parts of the humidifier than remain inaccessible (and have pink mold on them) that drive me a little nuts. This thing really packs a punch for humidification - on a high setting, it can really humidify a space significantly. It's even set off my daughter's smoke alarm because of how misty it made the room, ha. It also holds more water than it looks - I live in a very dry climate and on a relatively high setting (target 54% RH in our roughly 15-20% RH home) we get two full nights out of it. The only disappointment has been the cleaning - I read many reviews before purchasing saying how easy it is to clean, how accessible everything is, etc. etc. and all I can say is there must be some really hard to clean humidifiers out there if this is one of the easiest. I've included a photo of its condition after more than 2 years of use, and you can see there is some mineral buildup at the black seal in the base and around the bottom of the mist tube, but, I also don't bother with distilled water and supplement with little 'cleaning fish' (https://a.co/d/6TQEFNb) to help with mineral buildup. So after two years, it's not terrible and mostly on me for not wanting to buy distilled water ;) My real beef is with the mist tube - there's an impossibly narrow and distant part near the base and I have yet to find a cleaning brush narrow and long enough to clean the pink mold out that forms between the tube and its little insert. I've honestly considered buying a waterpik just to 'powerwash' the thing; my kitchen faucet sprayer on max isn't strong enough to blast it off. There aren't many parts to take apart when cleaning but I actually wish it broke down into more so I could access that thing. The other trouble with cleaning is - at least per the instructions - you do a 15-minute soak with 3 cups or vinegar, and then a second 15-minute soak for two small pieces that you just soaked already. So if you're following the instructions, you're married to a 30 minute+ cleaning session. I generally do the first soak, then dump the same vinegar back into the measuring cup with the two small pieces in it, and start cleaning the tank and base while those sit there. I rarely have the patience to wait out the next 15 minutes, but it's still about a 25+ minute job in the end. I use a baby brush and the longest, narrowest wire brush I can find in addition to the small 'looped' brush to clean all the nooks and crannies. Keeping gallons of vinegar stocked for this is a bit of a bummer too. Now all that said - per above this thing REALLY works, which is huge. It's also got just about any feature a person would want out of a humidifier - it has Bluetooth capability with an app but you can also work the intuitive controls without one. You can add essential oils in a little absorbent pad that lives in a small 'drawer' if that's your thing. It's got an optional timer, an optional nightlight, low/medium/high and auto mode and you can set the desired %RH with an app. I believe the hygrometer is on the bottom, so if you've just cleaned it and it gets wet it may be a little out of whack that night. And it's surprisingly quiet. Even if this cost a lot more it would still be an excellent value - my cleaning neuroses aside, it's an excellent appliance and has lasted us three years and still works great, despite my not using any distilled water. Just be prepared for the cleaning. ;)

May get sent a returned machine
Very disappointed on company. I was sent a used/returned machine. Box had been retaped. The machine would not turn on. Told customer service. They wanted me to make a video of me trying to turn it on. However I downloaded the app to control it with my phone and it works fine. I'm keeping it. The humidifier itself works great. Puts out a nice mist and the bonus is it has a place for essential oils. Very quiet. Hold plenty of water. Instructions say not to over-fill it, but there is no "fill line" on the tank. Also, no recommended cleaning schedule. 5 stars for the machine, but 0 stars for sending me a returned machine. Hate to think this is company policy.

Great at making mist, awful at everything else -- so smart it's DUMB
First, this is a great mister, it produces a large volume of mist, but propels it high enough the floor or table stays dry. It is almost completely silent, I use it in a bedroom and never hear it at night. It is easy to add water, it holds a LOT of water, and it makes no mess to refill. Really, top marks in those regards. But... they had to make it "smart", and it's really not, and that makes it hard to use. First, the hygrometer on it is completely wrong, reading about 20% higher than the actual humidity (and that's before you start blowing mist out and having it fall into the hygrometer area at which point it is more wrong). This becomes relevant... To do most of the setup you need to install a phone app which has the largest set of permissions needed of any I have ever seen; for example (I'm on android), it can listen to and record audio, take video and photos, read personal health information, track my location including precise location, answer phone calls, read identity, email, etc.... you get the idea. Look at the list before buying on the play store, it's LONG. And you cannot even do something like set the target humidity WITHOUT the app, just a low, medium high setting. Which would be OK except: this is where it gets strange. It's a really bright display. There's a night time feature that turns off the light -- great. Except it also forces it back to auto humidity. Which since the humidity sensor is so wrong, becomes useless as it just turns the machine off. So I have gaffer tape covering the display so I can sleep, with it just set on high. And just to add a bit of annoyance, if you have it on high and the power flickers -- it just turns off completely. Woke up one morning all dried out because about 1am there was a few seconds flicker (I checked my UPS on the computer). For something "smart" you would think it could remember it's mode from when it last ran. All in all I am keeping it, as it is very quiet and pumps out a lot of water, but the vendor's attempt at a smart device is a failure -- either they are doing a massive information grab for personal info from your phone, or they are simply incompetent. I mean, why does a humidifier control need to record video and audio? This could have easily been made so it could be completely usable from the control panel without a phone, for ones who choose not to give up all that info. It is not. I did not use the app, but will just keep my gaffer tape on and try to keep it running on high. But if I were buying it again -- I'd shop around. A shame really... otherwise a very good product.

LOVE Humidifier, only wish it covered more area
This is one of my FAVORITE purchases, I have two currently. It is January, I bought one in middle of November, then bought another in end of November and they are both still working. I live in the Midwest, St. Louis, MO, and I am assuming the air here is pretty dry around winter based on the readings on the humidifiers. This is a review on 6L that connects to phone apps. One humidifier does not raise my classroom humidity beyond about 24-30% max. There has been one day out of the last three months that I've been able to raise it to about 40-50%. But, also keep in mind that my classroom uses a window air conditioner (brings in air from outside), and I need too keep my windows open many times to combat the two large radiators in the room that make the classroom feel like it's over 90 degrees and cannot be turned off by the teacher/classroom. The door to my room remains shut during classes. The building might also just be super dry. I close the windows and door at night and turn off the air conditioner to see if that would help trap in the humidity and help the humidifier, yet it still floats from 24-26% in evenings (but I LOVE that I can track it from home from my app, even when not in the same WiFi as the humidifier!). So I do have to fill the tank quite frequently throughout the day and usually have to restart with low humidity on Monday since it empties after almost a day or less of continuous work. I bought a second humidifier, meant to help with the first one in the classroom but it ended up staying in my bedroom. I might try moving it to the classroom eventually or buy a third. In my bedroom, it floats between 30-40% humidity. When I brought home the school humidifier during winter break, I used two in my bedroom and the room easily got to 50-55% humidity with much less water refillings. Since going back to one humidifier in the bedroom, I usually need to add water daily as well and it tries its best to get to 40-45%. Once again, St. Louis air might just be really dry now, although I believe my house is much less dry than the school and much more insulated with air vents in the house and no window AC units pulling in outside air. It is still a super strong humidifier, I LOVE looking at the app for updates on levels (it's like a game for me), but I don't think it's meant for like HUGE areas like other reviewers mentioned (and I didn't expect it to be). My bedroom is not as small as a dorm room, but not a huge bedroom either, my classroom is a good space but not as big as other music classrooms at other schools (it used to be the teacher's lounge). I think a dorm room would be the perfect size for this! My kitchen at home was also able to stay at a good consistent 45% humidity pretty fast when trying it there for an hour or two (with no doors separating the kitchen from the rest of the house). I didn't expect/want to buy more than one but I do love the product and it does work really well and none have broken yet. Plus, I haven't gotten seriously sick since using them, and my throat is thanking me for the slight relief in dryness during the school day. It really is paying for itself so far, I will try my best to update my review if they ever break like other reviewers mentioned. I might consider buying a third if the price ever goes down, although it just raised and I'm not yet sure if adding another humidifier will help or just make me need to do more canteen runs between the water fountain and humidifier to fill it up. So I cannot validate spending more on my classroom for it just yet, but we'll see since I'm already thinking about it again!

Excellent Humidifier
Works well . Do use 220V to 110 converter , great humidifier
