Berkley Trilene XL Monofilament Fishing Line

I bought this line a few days ago. It was very smooth to put on my line. I have not fished with it yet, but it looks good so far. I plan to take this line trout fishing. I will hopefully update when I get back from the trip. Update: This line works really great and is the smoothest line I have used so far (I have only tried two). One thing about this line is if it gets snagged, it may snap easily. This makes sense because this is a lighter line. Overall, I would highly recommend this line to anyone looking for an easy, affordable, durable, and clear line.

I’ve been using this line for 10 years from 4lb on yellow perch to 8-10lb for bass to 17lb on Lake Trout. You just can’t beat it. Price, manageability, strength, etc. Might there be better mono out there? Sure, but not good enough for me to spend double the money.

Excellent fishing line. Strong yet smooth and very castable with good knot strength. Have always had good luck with Trilene.

Good line for the price. Good color, weight feel good while casting.

This fishing line is great! I've always used Trilene for all my fishing reels. I took my 4-year-old grandson fishing for trout & he has one of those kids rods & reel. He could not cast very far with it. When I came home, I ordered this line and put it on his reel. What a difference good line makes. He can cast twice as far & the line retrieves smoothly. Great product!

Berkley Trilene XL is what I think is the best monofilament on the market. This line is strong and supple. It has a small dia. and is also easy to work with. I think I have used XL since the 70'S. I have had very few break offs and I think that was due to the drag being set too tight. I don't ever recall a knot breaking. I just bought a line other than XL few weeks ago that might be close to as good as XL. The only reason I bought it was because I wanted a line that was high vis and Trilene XL doesn't come in high vis. I didn't feel any other Berkley monos had all the qualities of XL in the line test I was looking for. Also XL connects with other line tests without any problems. I have complete faith in the high vis green for use in the waters I fish. However with certain applications I think it is important to see your line that is out of the water. My eyes just can't do that any more with clear or low vis. Come on Berkley, market a high vis XL. I recommend XL and will buy it again. I hope. Mike

Llegó antes de la fecha, excelente linea, se comportó muy bien con este pámpano de aprox 50cm de largo le calculo de 2.5 a 3 kg, lo pesqué de orilla en la playa de mi pueblo, lo regresé al mar hizo bien su trabajo, tengo experiencia con la trilene la recomiendo mucho

Esperaba algo de mejor calidad, al hacer nudos se enchina con facilidad aunque se lubrique la linea, es resistente pero no es lo mejor para una caña de spinning (mucha memoria)
