I soak these and then use them to make an egg substitute for baking. ( see you tube videos). There are no foreign bits or anything i would consider bad floating to the top so they are nice and clean. They are a decent price and I'm very happy with this purchase.

I just learned how to use this product to make a Just Egg copycat recipe when our Asian store has no more to sell. I was to do a cooking demonstration at the church, so I ordered this, which was a vacuumed packed block of 4 pounds split yellow mung beans, which was a crucial part of the recipe. Everyone at the cooking class loved it and I offered them each 1/2 cup along with a tsp of black salt to make their own recipe at home. I also brought items I made with it, corn pudding, lemon cupcakes with blueberry frosting and I made fresh omelette a for them to try.

This product is listed as gluten free. My wife has celiac and so I like to read stuff before I order including reviews. I didn’t see any reviews mentioning if it was gluten free so I took a chance and ordered based on the description alone. Received it today and the back of the package shows that it’s processed in a facility that also processes wheat. For people that are gluten free to be gluten free that’s not a big deal, for individuals like my wife it’s a big no-no, she would end up feeling sick for a few days. It’s a non-returnable item, so I had to go through a few hoops but eventually got it refunded. Now I have to find someone I could donate it too.

I brought this to make eggs, vegan eggs. I’m excited to use it.

Not very easy to find, I purchased this item for a quite reasonable price. I was pleasantly surprised by the vacuum packaging, dividing the bag into two separate portions. They do work reasonably well to make a vegan egg mixture that replaces a more expensive product. Check out the recipes on the web.
