Better than every other brush
This works much better than any other brush that I've ever used. My dog has very thick fur and with other brushes it feels like you're only getting the surface. The extra long bristles are good for working on mats, since they give more easily than other brushes so the brush doesn't end up tangled in the fur you're trying to untangle.

Great for Doodles
The brush works very well on my golden doodle. It removes all her knots and tangles and leaves her feeling nice and soft. It also makes her look fluffier.

Im surprised at the difference!
For years I used brushes from like Walmart or Petco and they were fine for my papillons. Last year we got a havanese and his coat was much more challenging. I bought this brush and I am shocked at the difference it makes. I don't know what the exact difference is but grooming has been noticeably better and easier and his coat looks great!

Perfect duo
When my fluffy corgi turned 5 her coat exploded in thickness, so our cheap brushes were no longer cutting it. Grooming took over an hour and caused a lot of discomfort from catching and tugging. I ordered the medium Big K black slicker brush and the 27 mm pin brush, and WOW I wish I had bought these years ago! I use the pin brush first to line brush and detangle down to the skin, which also removes a ton of loose coat. Then after a break I go back in with this slicker and it removes a ton more! With short gentle strokes she had no discomfort. The brush has great feedback where you can feel it tug a little when there is still more undercoat to pull out, then once the brush glides without tugging it’s time to move to the next area. The curved shape makes it super easy to remove collected hair. Her coat lays so much more smoothly now that the excess undercoat is finally removed!Side note between this and the Big G coral brush: I did lots of research and found most professional groomers use the coral brush for fluffing and finishing, and this black brush for deshedding. I haven’t tried the coral brush but this black one is perfect for deshedding long thick coats!

Mostly all good.
We have a very fuzzy Siberian Husky and the " fur " really piles and loads up when I give my hound her yearly " backscratching" . The good news, " It really pulls out the loose stuff ". The only bad news is that it loads up easily.

Expensive but worth it for quality brush
I bought this on recommendation from person who runs Sheltie rescue & where we adopted our second Sheltie from. She grooms her own Shelties as well as all the fosters. She has used this company's brushes & some are going on 30 years & still in good shape. Quality sturdy brush that works well at getting thick fur out of Sheltie coat. Worth cost for quality brush.

Perfect slicker for my rough collie
After using the Big G for years on my previous collies, I found that it wasn't quite working as well for my current girl. I did some research and decided to give the Big K a try. It works a charm for my collie's extremely thick, combination fluffy (rough) and frizzy (hindquarters) coat, especially when combined with either the Precious Drops or Ice on Ice sprays. It works great for getting through her coat, as well as some snarls and outside "friends" that come in (leaves, bits of sticks, etc.). I've tried it on my corgi and long haired dachshund, and found that while it works, I prefer the Big G for their coats. If you have a double-coated dog with an insanely thick coat, I definitely recommend giving this a try!
