Smooth Operation - Top Notch Quality
What I like most about the Rocelco 32 is how smoothly it moves and up and down loaded with expensive electronic devices sitting safely on top. The brake is located under the front right corner of the its desktop. You release the brake with the palm of your right hand on top of the deck and your fingers wrapped around resting on the brake handle. To release the brake, pull up on its handle. To engage the brake, release the handle. “Brake On” is its default position or the position it is always in until you release it. The desktop can carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment, more than enough lifting power unless you plan on parking an anvil on top. The Rocelco moves smoothly and effortlessly from sitting to standing position. Release the brake, and the 2 spring/gas shocks will raise the deck with no effort on your part. Engage the brake when the desktop is at the height most comfortable for you. Keep in mind that the desktop moves up and forward. To move it down takes 2 hands, your right hand on the right side with fingers over the brake and your left hand on the other side; release the brake by pulling up on the brake handle, and push mostly backward at first, then slightly more downward. When the deck gets to height most comfortable for you, engage the brake by releasing the brake handle. The deck will stay put right where you want it. I am 6’ tall and my wife is 5’2” with eyes not blue, yet both of us find the 32” wide by 20” deep desktop easy to move up or down, with a laptop, an external DVD drive, a 27” HD monitor, and a mouse pad with a mouse. And let’s not forget that the keyboard tray with a wireless keyboard on top is along for the ride too. The Rocelco 32 desktop has enough room for all the devices that I want to move up and down. It is well engineered, ergonomically designed, balanced, and sturdy unit that you cannot go wrong purchasing IF it fits on the table you plan on parking it. I have my Rocelco 32 on a table that is 45” wide and 31” deep. I cannot recommend putting the Rocelco 32 on any smaller tabletop. The Rocelco 32 is 32 INCHES wide. Let’s do the math (45-32)/2=6.5 inches on each side. My router just fits on the left side, and my stompbox just fits on the right side. (A stompbox is a gadget that changes the sound of an electric guitar.) What about a table that is not quite 31” deep? No. Do not forget, the deck moves up and forward. If my table was 28” deep, for example, the desktop when full up would be hanging over the front end of my table. It is not in any danger of toppling over because the engineers positioned the CG far enough back over the table to prevent such a calamity. It just totally unnerves me seeing my very cool stuff hanging over nothing. Yikes! No. Another dimension we must consider is the height of the tabletop. The top of my table is 30 inches over the floor. Would you not know it! It is too high for me. I got to thinking, I work comfortably in the standing position when the desktop is all the way. What if it were 2” lower? No. I prefer standing over sitting especially when I’m playing my guitar. I am at eye level with the monitor that is no more than 18”-20” away. The music I project on the monitor is easy to see and read. And the keyboard, and the mouse are at ergonomically perfect heights for me. And even the laptop is within easy reach. BTW a nice stiff but comfy cushion on my office chair compensates for a tabletop too high when desktop is all the way down. Coming soon. Yeah, let’s rock-n-roll.

Easy and Worth It
I've had the 32" model for a month now. I am very happy with my purchase. The price was reasonable (and I did a lot of comparison shopping) and the desk works perfectly. I find it very easy to raise and lower, silently and smoothly, even with my equipment on it. (I'm short and not super fit, fyi.) Set up was easy-peasy. The desk wasn't too heavy, so I was able to remove it from the box and put it on my table myself. All I had to do was remove the packaging and it was ready to use. I find it to be very sturdy-- no wobbling! The top surface easily accommodates my 27" monitor and a 13" MacBook, along with space for my phone and a notepad. The keyboard shelf fits a full-size keyboard (with numbers pad) and my mouse along with a wrist support. I like that it slides under the top shelf, too. I am very satisfied with this desk and highly recommend it!

Solid Overall, But Suffers in Range of Motion
This review is for the DADR model, which is the larger version of their product. I've been using it for a few days now. Pros: - A bargain when looking at competing products. - No assembly required; arrives in one piece. - Initial build quality appears to be good. The product has some heft to it and is stable in any position. - The keyboard tray is more than wide enough for both my keyboard and mouse. - The keyboard tray slides in and out, making it easy to get it at the right distance. Cons: - (This is a big one) The desk doesn't go high enough or low enough for me (I'm 5'10"). Luckily my monitors are also height adjustable, but others may not have this luxury, and even with that, they're still a bit off for me. I've also had to resort to raising my office chair height with a cushion. For reference, the top of my desk that this sits on is 29.5" from the floor. - It takes a fair amount of strength to lower or (especially) raise. Of course I have mine loaded up with a large laptop, docking station, monitor, textbook, and speakers. - Mine came with a slight blemish where it looked like the paint had been chipped off the edge of the top desk piece. No problem, filled it in with a black magic marker.

BEST investment!
I got the deluxe 37" and I LOVE IT! I had been looking for a standing desk for a couple of months, going back-and-forth between this and another one. I had eventually decided not to get it, but then saw the 32" go on sale. After further consideration, I decided I might as well splurge and get the 37" (which still isn't bad for the price, compared to the other stuff out there) with the extra surface area and the grommet hole. This is my first standing desk and it is great. I've received tons of compliments from colleagues as they pass. The standing desk itself is wonderful - as others have already mentioned, it does come fully assembled and weighs about 50 pounds. The box is bulky so a little hard to move without a cart or assistance, but lifting the desk out of the box was an easy task for a little girl like me. You'll probably want to make sure your desk has enough of a surface area for the standing desk to sit on it - I pretty much have a HUGE wooden panel for the surface area of my desk (seriously, a small child could probably use it as a bed) so the standing desk fits nicely with some extra room for a small work area when sitting down. The adjustments are very easy, you just squeeze the handles on either side and force it up or down. To go down, you just have to push forward and down. To move it up, just pull up and a little towards you and the momentum will keep it going to the desired height. It'll automatically lock as well, once it clicks into position so that is nice. The keyboard tray is perfect, I have plenty of room for a wireless keyboard/mouse in the middle and a bunch of post-it notes along the border. I'm 5'2" and all levels are great. I don't have any additional risers for my outdated monitors, so they rest at a perfect height. If you're taller, might still need to add some kind of riser for your monitor(s). Very sturdy, does not move as I type and nothing budges when I adjust the heights. Some other reviews have noted damage to their desk but mine came in fine - there was a small scuffle but it didn't bother me aesthetically and did not interfere with the desk's function. I love the extra room on this 37" but honestly, the 32" would be totally fine if you don't have too much. As you can see from my picture, I have a ridiculous amount of paraphernalia so that takes up most of the space. But it's great to have additional workspace on top of the desk and below the keyboard panel (when the desk is raised). I had to buy this on my own, but it is SO worth it. I mainly got it because I noticed I've been hunching over more as I sit for 8 hours and hoped this would help alleviate SOME of my bad posturing habits. And it has, for the most part. But also helps me focus better and feel more alert. Probably the best thing I've ever gotten myself on Amazon!

Great function, fully-assembled in the box, and super competitive next to Varidesk/other expensive models
I'm 6' (72") tall, and have this desk set on top of an approximately 30"-high corner desk. It works great. I am able to fit a 16.5" laptop alongside a 32" monitor (although the laptop is slightly over the edge, but safely) with both slightly canted inward towards the centerline. At my height the highest position for the standing desk usually works great, especially the keyboard tray for my wireless USB keyboard and mouse, which both fit on it and work great. I can also use the second highest position comfortably, when I'm tired and not standing up quite as tall. With my laptop and monitor I can still fit notepads, cell phones, and smaller devices like a charging iPod connected to my computer, so while I raise the desk and stand I can still take notes or see my phones in front of me while standing. The mechanism to raise/lower and lock into position works just fine. I typically haven't needed to lock because I go from fully lowered to fully raised and it holds both positions naturally. However, when using the second-highest position the locks have functioned just fine. I'm considering buying another for my actual office location, because it's made long work stretches so much more tolerable. Really a great price compared to the competition. My coworker has the Varidesk and I feel this is more than comparable for a great price.

It's just perfect
My son, who owns a software design company, has Varidesks for all his employees and because I have chronic lower-back pain, he suggested I get one for myself. As a home-based writer, I sometimes spend 8-9 hours a day sitting in front of my PC, and being able to alternate between standing and sitting is a big improvement in my quality of life. My back feels MUCH better. But the Varidesk was expensive, so I looked for lower-cost alternatives. I'm glad I did, because the Rocelco ADR Adjustable Sit/Stand desk is absolutely perfect and cost half of what I would have paid for a Varidesk model. One of the problems with Varidesk is that the lower-cost models can only support 35 pounds. I have a Dell XPS 27, which is a screen and computer all in one, and that weighs 35 pounds all by itself. Add keyboard, mouse and a few other desk essentials, and I'm over the limit. To get a Varidesk model that can support as much as 45 pounds, you'll pay $500. This Rocelco ADR Adjustable desk can support 50 pounds, cost only about $250, and is extremely well-made. Yes, the platforms for the PC and keyboard are pressed board, but it's solid, and the rest of the unit-- the base and weight-bearing supports -- are steel. One big plus: no assembly required. Take it out of the box, put it on your existing desk, and you're done. And it comes in very sturdy packing. I thought the only drawback to the Rocelco desk was that the keyboard tray was recessed too far underneath the top platform, making it hard for me to see the top row of function keys -- then I realized that the keyboard tray is retractable. I just slid it out, and now this setup is has no drawbacks at all. It's perfect. I was worried that the Rocelco would be hard to lift and drop down because of my 35-pound PC, but the steel gas springs make it easier than I thought. The only thing that takes a little learning-curve is how it locks in place. This can be set at four different heights, and when I'm standing (I'm 5-foot-10), I use it in the second-highest position. To get there, I lift the Rocelco desk all the way to the top position (where it will stay even without being locked). Then I reach my hands around each side, resting my arms on the top platform, while putting a thumb on each of the sliding lock rings on either side. Applying downward weight with my arms, I ease the desk downward while gently pushing down on the lock-ring knobs. When it reaches one of the pre-set height stops, I feel the lock slide into place. Then I double-check to make sure each side is properly locked (the word "locked" will be in the middle of the lock ring). That sounds more complicated than it is. Once you know how it's done, you can do it in seconds. And you can drop it all the way down in 2 seconds, with the gas springs easing it downwards. A sit/stand desk may sound like a luxury, but if you spend a lot of time in front of a computer, or you have back issues, you'll find this a godsend. In fact, I'd recommend it for any healthy person who doesn't want to ever develop back issues.

Transformed My Workday
I spend 8 to 18 hrs a day sat at the computer, 5 to 7 days a week, for the past 30 years. This thing is a prayer answered. Not kidding. Cost was the factor in not getting it before, but if I went back in time it would have been SO WORTH IT. It shipped well packed in a kind of strong cardboard with sturdy wood separators, plastic straps, and rugged corner protectors. (Good packaging is important to me!) It fits my laptop and 22” wide monitor on the top shelf, plus beverages and knickknacks, and a mouse and a smaller second keyboard on the pullout shelf. It’s fun to move up and down, which I do a lot as my feets get used to standing (I stand, sit, stand, sit…) LOVE THIS THING SO MUCH!! Any negatives? Yeah that I waited this long. (I did first buy a cheaper brand first but it... was not so great. Returned it.)

Well built and a great value compared to other brands
The riser arrived intact in its original box. Once opened, I noticed the packing was very well done and it would survive even the most vigorous UPS or FedEx guy's delivery handling. As mentioned by others, it is fully assembled, and all you need is sufficient desk area to place it on top of and then you can proceed to set up your monitor, mouse and keyboard on top of it. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the riser. I am somewhat used to low-quality workmanship and materials when buying "less expensive" Made in China furniture, but this one seems to be an exception. The wood is well finished with no splintery edges, and the hydraulic mechanism works smoothly (so far). I got the 32" version for $165 and it is definitely a good value. When raised up all the way, it is just the right height for me, I am a 5'8" male. If you are shorter, it does have a few notches available that are lower. If you are much taller (like over 6 feet tall), you may need to raise your monitor if you want to have eye-level with the monitor when standing up. One thing to note is that when sitting down and the riser is at its lowest level, it does add several inches of height (probably around 6 inches) to your monitor, so take that into consideration. I have noticed that when I am sitting down now, I tend to look up a little bit at the monitor, when I used to have straight eye-level to it. Have a look at the pictures I attached to get a sense for this. Overall its a good buy and I would definitely recommend it for people looking to have the flexibility to stand up and work for parts of the day.

Hasta el momento este producto muestra ser de muy buena calidad y me ha sido util para trabajar. Lo recomendaría a personas que se pasan todo el día sentadas, para mejorar su postura y circulación. A mí me ha servido mucho.

Excellent product
I purchased this product in the first week of Jan 2022, with prime one-day delivery, and it arrived great in excellent condition. The product did not disappoint: It is exactly as in the picture and the video, very well made, and excellent product. The product arrived without damages and it features just like in the video. One thing I did not catch in the video and surprised me is the fact that when you use the stand-up feature, it moves forward. This is well shown in the video, I just did not catch that when I purchased it. That presented a problem because I use it for online teaching at home and I have a green screen behind, so when I use the stand up version, I have to move everything 1 or 2 feet away backwards (the one I have at the office just raises vertically). It is not a deal-breaker for me, I just prepare everything ahead of time with the stand-up feature, I just thought of mentioning it in case someone else, like me, misses that. The product is easy to use, I love it, it does what it is supposed to do, that is to support all your working station and lift it when needed. The surface is large and I am comfortably putting my laptop and a large monitor on the top and my tablet on the drawer. You can basically put an old computer working station (minus the tower) on it. I will purchase this product again.
