I purchased this item as a monitor riser. Granted, when I bought it, I didn't expect much...I never do with composite materials. When the package arrived it was very efficiently packed and well protected. I did note the weight of it was nice too. As I unwrapped each piece, I realized how nicely made this is. It was a hard smooth composite, no sawdust rough edges. Nice finish. All edges were finished too, unlike many pieces that leave the back side unfinished. Assembly was pretty simple, took me about 10 minutes or so by myself. Instructions were pretty clear. Although the cam locks in the illustration can be confusing at first. I simply tested them out beforehand to make sure I had the direction correct. I did have a little bit of trouble installing the shelf by myself as you kind of have to hold it up with one hand while starting a screw with the other. I did it pretty easily once I figured it out. Once it was together I was very pleased. I purchased the 16.7" unit. The keyboard does not slide underneath, but that is not my intent with this one. I use it for the monitor and the shelf to keep post-it notes and accessories on/under. I have to say...I'm no stranger to "build-it" style furniture. I've purchased and assembled many a Sauder and Ikea product in my lifetime. After receiving this product and putting it together, I searched Amazon for any other products by Fitueyes to see what more I can add to my collection. I'm sold on their quality for sure.

Perfect, simple solution! Great quality. I have been looking for monitor mounts, stands, and supports for a white and tried a adjustable mount. The problem of most mounts is that you will need to clamp the mount on the desk. It will cause damage to the surface, it requires certain thickness of the desk, and it is not easy to move from one desk to another. There are some clamp-free stands available, but they are too expensive. $50 is the lowest price I can find. I never thought about the monitor risers before because I wanted adjustable height and space available under the monitor to fit other items in. This riser actually fits all my needs. it is not as adjustable as other monitor mounts, but I only need my 27'' at certain height and I can always rotate the monitor to different horizontal angels.The riser has a shelf so I can actually fit more items under the monitor. Another beauty is that you do not need to remove the original support and screw it to the mount. Just put the riser on the desk and put the monitor on the riser. It also makes it so easy if I want to move the monitor, with the rise, to another desk. The ABS finish -- I guess it is ABS -- along the side give a good touch and classy look. The whole riser is much more sturdy and I expected -- I have seen so many wobbly shelves from Amazon and Walmart. I will definitely buy it again if the same need comes up. The shelf was easy to install, and feels very sturdy. The rubber feet are very good quality too, as the shelf never budges when I take my laptop (that also has rubber stops) out. The bottom laptop is a MacBook 16 inch, and the top one is a 13 inch for size reference. The top shelf holds textbooks and my iPad Pro easily. I definitely recommend! PS, I have the IKEA Alex desk and I still have lots of room to work
