Like She Said, Insanely Delicious
Long past the need to control menstrual pain, I have been using this sugar for culinary purposes. This sugar is so rich in deep in flavor, it almost seems to carry a hint of anise. I made it the sweetening base of banana bread and have piled it into hot cereals. I’ve started to incorporate it into sweet brandy sauces and penuche. I think it would be a great backbone in spice and ginger breads. This and jaggery (Indian raw cane sugar) are great substitutes for refined sugars. Plus it’s delicious as a candy. Lordy.

Tastes right, packaging could be better
Tastes good for my milk teas - the cubes were a little roughed up if it was packaged in a plastic container instead of a bag it would probably be better. I usually get it shipped from china but this is still good stuff and the right price, and more convenient

Great for authentic milk tea
Lots of milk tea recipes that you'll find online call for granulated white sugar, which will make milk tea taste nothing like what you get in an authentic Chinese pearl tea place. This "black sugar", which contains a much higher molasses content, will give you a much better taste. I use 3 of these cubes for 2 cups of water, which gives me roughly two servings of tea - but I also don't like things super sweet. Still, for $10 - you get like 20 cubes, so if you wanted to use more it's still really pretty cheap, and great quality!

Perhaps See's candy would be better.
These are as hard as a rock, but would probably melt all right. It's chocolate!

Great substitute for Japanese sugar in soba
During Covid our local Asian market was unable to get the traditional black sugar I use to make soba. This was a perfect substitute. Rich full flavor of unprocessed brown sugar.

Amazing flavor. Made a dope syrup for a drink at the work spot. Will keep buying this amazing sugar. I like it better than demerara I think!

Bad and hard test brown sugar
I brought two bags of sugar brown but it’s not good test need to exchange it with different things please it’s too hard test for me

Wow!
Insanely delicious. Try dissolving with boiling water, adding a shot of dark rum, 1/4th a level teaspoon of butter or margarine, dash of salt, stir and add couple big marshmellows on top. Let sit for 3 minutes and stir again and enjoy. Optionally add a few drops of vanilla extract and/or cracked rainbow pepper.
