What size replacement filter cartridge for this unit...small, med?

The Tetra Bio-Bag Large (formerly known as Regular) are the exact same as the filter bag supplied with the Tetra Whisper In-Tank filter 20i. I got both from Amazon: filter $11.89; 12 cartridges $12.28. These filters last a long time, can be cleaned and reused. For my purpose, this filter has been great.

Where can I just get the Bioscrubber?

Hello. You can get it at a pet store, amazon has some, grocery stores with a pet section...they are pretty easy to find.

Would a small fish get sucked up in this filter? I have a 2 month old beta who is just recently getting color fins but still very small

Yes. I had 4 neon tetras and all 4 ended up getting sucked into the filter and the spinning fan mechanism blended them into multiple pieces. It happened the first night, I woke up and 4 fish were missing. I found them in the filter :(

Would this filter be too strong for a Betta in a 10 gallon tank?

Yes, it would be fine. It is rated at 90 GPH which is the appropriate flow rate for a 10 gallon tank. Bettas are not the strongest swimmers, it is true, but typically handle filtration fine, as long as it is placed at one end of the tank so they have room to move away if necessary. They eventually adapt and will often play in the flowing water. Initially, you might want to place tall plants or tall décor in front of it to break up the flow until the betta becomes accustomed to it.
