I purchase two of these bannetons. They're well built, come with the fabric longer for better function. The shape is perfect for a more traditional looking loaf of bread. I dusted with rice flour to keep my loaves from sticking but the bannetons function exactly as expected. Overall a reasonable value for the money.

I wanted smaller oval bannetons so I could make two loaves out of one bread recipe. I also wanted them to fit in my Dutch Oven. These do the trick but keep in mind they are probably smaller than you think and you'll have to adjust your baking time for the size.

Perfect for splitting one 1000g loaf a bread into two. The loaves are easier to cut and I freeze the extra loaf for later. The quality of the loaf out of the freezer is better because of having a crust all the way around versus baking one big loaf and freezing half with a cut side.

I didn’t want to buy a baking steel just yet but really wanted bread that is batard shaped instead of large boules. I use a Lodge 5 quart double cast iron pot to bake my bread and one loaf fits perfectly inside. I love these bannetons. But I always use the liners (as liners and NOT covers). This means that I do not really need to brush or wash the banneton itself. They dry on the back of my oven while warm. And I rinse the liners and let air dry. I have had some for over 4 years and only bought more because I only had one this size.
