Great value
This is a great budget option for a simple set up and is ready for amps as well. This is an old school German brand well known in the audio industry. It does lack dimmer , hard to see screen in bright sunlight but works well with bluetooth and sounds good. Considering this costs much less than the average out to dinner meal of two people, this is a great value.

Value for money NOT!
10/4.2022.. Screen stopped working, totally dead just over a year of pretty much daily use. Still can use it but I am blind when operating. I have two of these and I put the other screen that works in and the screen still was dead. Problem is in the main body of the unit.1/20.2022... Radio screwed up and would not turn off no sound and screen was rolling a bunch of 2's and zeros with other garbage in it. Had to pull car's battery clamp and when I reenergized radio works fine again. i have a feeling this will not be the first time I have to do this.My how the mighty has fallen. BLAUPUNKT products were once a pure quality across the board company now its low quality at least for this one BUT it gets the job done and not as poor of a job as I thought for a 30 dollar jobber. As for sound using just the internal amp outputs its as good as I think you can get when there is no at minimum customizable band equalizer(s) since all there is is Base/treble, loudness on or off and preset equalizers and they are terrible. The most surprising is how good the Bluetooth connectivity is. Once hooked up its very stable, fast and reliable. For me with my phone (Android Power) the sound quality via BT when playing music as the source/input is not as good as playing music using an SD card. Another plus with the SD card is when playing songs random its the most true random you can get. Most other ways of playing random on most other devices usually pick only around 40 songs to play random and it gets stuck playing the same old songs at random over and over again its VERY annoying. With this unit using the same 700 songs via SD card I just plunk onto all my devices and media forms I get to hear songs I almost never hear in most of my other vehicles. For receiving calls and having a conversation its amazing. I'll admit I may not know all what features it has and how to use them but as far as receiving calls WOW.. Phone in my pocket while driving I never expected this unit to actually work for receiving calls I was shocked when I did. The first call I had no idea how to answer the call but I tried a lot of buttons and didn't hit the right one in time so I used the phone to make the callback and this unit took over and the person on the other end asked me to stop yelling and had a very pleasant experience with the rest of the call.I have no idea if this unit has a microphone or uses the phones but the second call I ever received my phone was in my pocket and I knew that time what button to pick up and the caller said they could hear me just fine.My biggest complaint is since this unit is light and the sleeve uses quite soft metal and is not a tight fit between the unit and sleeve and the sleeve to the cars hole the unit moves around a lot when pressing the buttons. Without going into detail I had a real hard time getting the sleeve installed and never quite was able to get it very tight in 2 cars. The first car I got this for was a customer's car going up for sale to replace a 1980's BLAUPUNKT with a CD player that finally died and saw this unit and since it had BLAUPUNKT written on it and was 30 bucks it was a great deal since all I wanted it for was to show the speakers and power antenna were working to potential buyers. It worked out so good I bought one for one of the shop trucks without hands free calling. One interesting thing to me is in the car one it plays a little tone/tune when I turn the car off and in the truck it doesn't do it. Maybe there is a setting I need to change but I doubt it.I was a bit annoyed that even though the plugs between the 1980's BLAUPUNKT and this one are physically the same and slip into the holes the same the wiring is totally different. I was expecting to just unplug the old one and plug this one in with no wire work.No way this is ever going to replace any of my much better vehicles with single din's radio holes but for a work vehicle one its great. I'm tempted to buy a few more as backups since I don't have a good feeling theses are going to be as long lived as older quality units have been. It would be nice to just slip out the old dead unit and just plug in the new one with no cutting stripping and crimping and or soldering.

Dead out of box...
Sadly, radio would not turn on... Wiring was correct and triple-checked with multi-meters to ensure proper power and grounds. Radio came "dead" out of box. Will be returning back to Amazon for refund and will go with another choice.

Good Deal for the low Budget
For me as a German who grew up with "Blaupunkt" Radios in cars, this product is a little different. It is a cheap radio, that costs a fraction of the original Blaupunkts made in germany, but it does the job. Bluetooth connects fast and easy, nnobs and buttons are a little cheap, but it does the job. It sounds even good and best part was, it was plug and play in a 1999 Porsche. I just connected it and it works fine.

Good value
This head unit has everything you need to listen to Bluetooth from your phone. Also has usb. Sounds decent and overall very worth the $40 I paid for it. I hope it holds up I’m using it for a 20,000 watt subwoofer system so I will find out

Decent sound for a great price
Instructions were great for installation. Installed as outside RV stereo, so don’t need anything fantastic. This does the job nicely so far. Good value.

Ohmahgahd, this thing sucks. Have some self-respect and purchase anything better.
The media could not be loaded. If I hadn't had to modify this to make it fit the dash kit for my Ranger, I'd absolutely return it.My requirements were: bluetooth and single DIN, because I'm also installing a Cobra 18 WX ST II underneath it. I wanted a little more output than the factory stereo, and didn't want to run a BT FM transmitter anymore.I knew I wasn't getting much only spending $30, but I'll go ahead and list why it sucks even at that price, or maybe simply because of it.1. The attached video shows this pulsating nonsense that's not defeatable. You can't get rid of it.2. There is a bass and treble adjustment OR built-in EQ settings, and no user one.3. The loudness setting is WAY over the top on bass at all volume levels. Normally, the point of a loudness control is so that it stands a better chance of sounding full at low volume levels. This just pours on bass, and at all volume levels. Without it, it sounds like a clock radio at flat EQ. The only acceptable sound is obtained by having loudness on, and with it on the "Classic" EQ preset.4. It didn't come with mounting hardware. So, you buy the stereo, you buy a dash kit, you go to install it and, "oh no, I don't have four flat top machine screws." FYI, you need 8-32 thread screws.5. The manual is pathetic.6. There's no dimmer control, so you gotta hope it's bright enough in the daytime, and you can bet you hind end it's gonna annoy you at night with that dancing display nonsense.I haven't even finished installing it a you can see in the video. It's so bad I might just throw it out.The takeaway here is this: you won't miss an extra $20-100 more than this thing will make you wish you had spent it. Learn from me. Spend a bit more money with just about anything else. You'll be so, so much happier.Blaupunkt used to make awesome gear. They shouldn't even schlep this stuff to kids. This thing just plain sucks. It gets two stars because it technically met my criteria. That's the sum of it.
