what is the Wi-Fi range?  Is it cloud based to view from anywhere or on within a certain range?

Any freaking where.  That is why I bought it.  It works like the Traeger Grilles WiFire technology which allows me to monitor one temp probe, grille temp, temperature setting, and others no matter where as long as I have access to cell or some other WiFi, just need network.  If traeger had more temp probes I wouldn’t need this.

Question 2

Anyone having problems with the praghs not showing? They told me to uninstall and install the app again, but that didn't solve the problem.

I solved this guys!!
Inkbird “Pro” app is dead in the water. 
There’s  a new/different app by same company, Inkbird Plus, which restores graphing function and push notifications. Download that one instead and delete pro version. 
I contacted customer support, they never mentioned new app. Happened to find it on my own. Hope this helps.

How do you set a low temperature alarm.   the app only has a high temperature per probe.  bought primary for that feature.

This one can set low temp alarm. There is maximum preset temp and minimum preset temp in the app.

Does it connect directly to WiFi or do you need a phone or tablet to communicate between?

Your question appears to be if you need a phone or a tablet between the unit and the wifi network. You do need a phone or tablet to set it up and get it connected to your wifi network.

However once it is connected it connects directly with that wifi network. You can then take the phone or device w the app on it anywhere (where there is internet access) and use it to monitor your cook.
