When crawfish claws get large at the end of the season, I'm using this to crack them. A general old fashioned nut cracker would not accomplish that. This product has worked well for my needs. It is solid - not hollow.

These crackers work great on seafood! They are well made and easy to clean. I would have given them 5 stars, but they are a bit bulky for small hands, but not so much that I couldn't use them.

I wanted to love these. They are adorable!!! They are super cute and the weight/quality of them are great as well. Where they just don't meet the mark is actual use. I bought these because we were planning a big lobster dinner for the holidays. I usually just get tails, but since we were entertaining we decided to do whole lobsters, which meant we needed some cracker thingies ... Growing up we always had those heavy metal ones that I would occasionally pinch my fingers in, but they were solid and did the job effortlessly. I almost order them but decided on these because ....well they are adorable and cute. They arrived and I was very happy with the quality. I showed them off like a true dork ... but when it came to breaking the lobster claws they just didn't work. Every time we went to clamp down, the claw either popped out or the cracker thingy or just slid off (not even making a mark or scratch). We couldn't get them to grip the claws. We have a collection of those sea sheller things (like the yellow ones you get a Joe's Crab Shack), and those ended up being more useful then these claws. Maybe these will work better with smaller claws like from some varieties of crabs, but these did not work for lobster claws. I would question their use in most nuts as it would be the same issue. The nuts would slide right out of the clamps. These need a better way to grip on to what you're clamping down on. I really wanted to like these things, but I just don't. 3 stars for being super cute and very sturdy good quality.

Don’t order - doesn’t work

Great - just be careful how many you are ordering. I thought I ordered one - ONE BOX! Ha - everyone is getting one for their bday this year!

Product felt a little loose. They work .

Use these for cracking Crab shells and lobster shells! It’s better that trying to use teeth and risk damaging your teeth!

I bought 2 for a rushed gift with rushed shipping and they gave me 2 with different packaging so they didn't match. Totally not giftable as it looks so bad that one is wrapped in a plastic page and the other is not. The actual item looks like it could work, is a bit heavy, and a tad small.

Difficult to use

It is a piece of junk. Not able to crack the lobster claws at all . Do not buy. I return it. Not even worth one star.
