Hi J.E.N., no problem at all. We tested it ourself by cooking the same dish with electric stove and induction cooktop and it turns out pretty much the same. Can metal utensils be used? Why do some people say the pre seasoning comes off?

I use bamboo and wood utensils.

Can coconut oil be used to maintain this wok? And can I switch to a healthier oil for stir frying, such as extra virgin olive oil?

Hi Divider line, thank you for your question. Please use oil that with high smoking point to season/ re-season your wok. Coconut oil is a good choice however it have a very distinctive flavour so make sure you are happy with it before you do so. In regards to extra virgin olive oil, it is never a good alternative for heated cooking as it generates lots of smoke and change its flavour under high heat.
