This is a plea for someone who has already reviewed the camera to consider translating the "English" in the manual to real, logical, understandable, English. I will now try to get the camera set up and running as if the manual doesn't exist, and trust that trial and error will work just fine. The manual refers to a TF memory card which I haven't used for awhile. I think they mean mini- or micro- SDHC, so I'll have to hunt one of those up before continuing this saga. They mean micro, and I've read elsewhere that 32gb class 10 is recommended. OK, mounted the camera and it works straight out of the box. Thank God, because the manual appears to be a collection of computer generated random characters. How I'll change the default settings will be food for the "rest of the story." I was worried that once installed the mount might loose suction, and the camera would fall onto the dash; it's been sticking in place for the last week or so, so that doesn't appear to be a problem. I tried to swing it around to a rear view, and the camera came off in my hand, but the mount remained firmly attached to the windshield. Watching the video on my computer, the playback is a bit disconcerting because of the illusion of higher speed. I think it's because of the wide screen shot. The picture quality and color are impressive. The buttons on the left are so close together, the fat finger syndrome elicits a lot of swear words. On 6/5 I submitted three questions to the "community" and promptly got good answers to the first two from M. Dong at Telico. The third question was as follows; "I plugged the camera into my Windows 7 computer using a usb cable, and Windows doesn't recognize it as a device. What to do?" His response was "Please plug it again and try other USB port on the PC, hope this helpful." When I tried to respond to tell him I had already tried that, I got a message saying that the question had exceeded some limit (perhaps 11 days?) and it wouldn't let me respond. Now I get the message that desertcart deleted the message on 6/5. Hmmmm. I put a new Sandisk 32gb memory card in and the camera started using it without any formatting required; nice. Some months later: Still trying to figure out how to run the damn thing. I can't understand why the mfger. doesn't publish a decent manual in English. For example, I just accidently found that if you have the camera hooked up to a computer via a usb cable, it won't let you access the camera's setup menu. It's a good product, made nearly unusable for lack of simple instructions. The camera actually works well enough, but the date keeps changing back to the default date; I assume because the "built-in" battery runs down while the car's sitting over night. No problem, I'll just change the battery. Opps, I just realized exactly what "built-in" means; no obvious way to access the battery, so if I wanted the date to be accurate, I'd have to reset the date every time I start the car. I'll just let it use the default date; it's too much of a nuisance to reset it. On rare occasions, I have to unplug and replug the power cable into the lighter socket. Review: Great Dash Cam - Very good quality. Only issue is, it gets a little difficult to try and switch between modes while dash cam is recording. It also would have been better if it was all black without the chrome to be less noticeable.

i must say - it's been working out great. the motion detection feature is excellent
purchased this and the telico C23 model for my parents at a discount in exchange for my honest review. i must say - it's been working out great. the motion detection feature is excellent, and i don't have to worry about rear-end crash scams any longer! would highly recommend. picking up another (of the C21 - i actually feel like it performs better in terms of quality and responsiveness despite being a "lower model") for my wife as well!

This has to be the worst purchase I made
This has to be the worst purchase I made. I have to restart the camera at least 4 to 5 times to get it to record each time I use it. After awhile it gets annoying. I plan to purchase a different camera. The instructions that came with camera are useless. Also when I received it the packaging for the camera had no security tape on it. They most likely gave me a returned camera.

No Photos In The Instructions
Reason for the 4 stars is the manual is dismal at best. Very small print and NO photos of what button is what, Guesswork and cursing is required. Battery life is extremely short. Otherwise, for the price it seems pretty decent...

Very Disappointed
The product came with a very non-user-friendly instruction manual, in multiple languages, with minimal helpful information. We planned on using this camera extensively during our vacation in California. Luckily we had a back-up as this camera was fully charged when we left Colorado and lost it's charge before we reached Cali. The unit only comes with the car charger so we were unable to charge unless we were in the car. The unit never worked. Very disappointed as I was looking forward to being able to use this device for the uses stated, such as video and pics unmounted and used as a normal camera/recording device.
